Congratulations number one
I've done two cakes recently that say congratulations. Today is one of two. I'm not quite sure what Earl did but he's being congratulated with a cake
I asked the woman who ordered this what she wanted on it and she said she didn't care. That could be either good or bad. Sometimes they like it and sometimes they don't.

I love the cake. "I don't care" is an odd response. Poor Earl.
From the clues here I would guess Earl is old, because these days parents do not use Earl, and he is retiring
