So it turns out that the iris in my front yard isn't as big as I thought it was. They finally bloomed so I took a picture of them.
Since this one was blooming I decided to go out in the backyard and check on the Japanese Iris. Sure enough they are starting to bloom as well.
The Lupine is also starting to bloom.
I just love this time of year.

They are all so pretty. do they all smell good? I think the white iris coordinates with the colors of your house so well.
I love iris...your's are so pretty! I need to plant more here and try again. Too much clay in our soil.

Spring is such a pretty time of year. I love all of your flowers. Happy Friday to you!!
I love them ALL, but my most favorite is the purple. they are so beautiful.. imagine the beauty if they WERE as tall as the house accross the street. we had a 4th shower of 6 minute rain, so things are starting to bloom here also. I need to go to the gardens to see just what they are doing
Lovely! Love the little mini Iris. I don't have any like that. It is interesting to see where y'all are in the blooming process. I looked back on my post and mine were finishing up around May 6, so we were about a month ahead of you on Iris blooms. My garden is a mess. I have 4 o"clock coming up all in there and they take over everything. But the last two yrs I have not had to plant them, they come back from seeds dropped the year before. I have also been looking at my Spiderwort, and I put it back in the corner but I think I might need to move it. Its doing well but I can't really see it right now. Love that plant, so many pretty purple blooms.

Oooh, they are all lovely!
I love these Ann, beautiful flowers. I always admire them when I see them elsewhere, but don't have any in my garden. I need a trip to the garden place soon. Catching up after bout with Covid. Thank you for all the thoughtful comments, always very much appreciated.
Hurray for flowers! And cameras. Thank you. ❤️
Iris are so pretty and come in so many different colors.
Yes, a great time of year!!
Me too!
They are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us.
they all look so healthy - your land with such a winter look, and I never expect things to look so good in the next few seasons. Of course, I don't live where there is ever snow, so I don't know "plant promise that comes up..."
