I've been getting lots of happy mail recently. It sure has made my day to find these in my mailbox. Thanks to all of you who have sent these.
The bad
Saturday it was snowing and this time there was accumulation. Not a lot but enough to cover the ground. I was supposed to go to a surprise birthday party but chose to skip it because of the weather. One minute it was doing nothing and the next it was snowing so hard you could barely see across the street
The ugly
In the back of our parking lot at work there is one of those drop off bins for clothes and shoes. Some people seem to think it's a garbage dump. When I was leaving the one day someone had left a mattress, an artificial Christmas tree and a bag of who knows what. Drives me nuts. The side of the bin clearly says clothes and shoes.

Yuck, this is worse than litter! I see the flowers!
Merriest Bday to you.....cards are so nice. I have an aunt that never fails to be the first to get a card to me. I love those cards. Cost of mailing stuff is crazy these days so I don't sed out many anymore. Ugly, YES...
adorable cards and a lot of happiness shining from them, idiots on the leaving the mattress there. crazy people.
Happy mail is so nice to receive. I'm glad you've been getting some smiles in your mailbox. We had that weather on Friday and it dumped 5 inches in very little time. It cancelled our plans for Saturday too. I can't complain since it is our first measurable snow this year. I'm just glad it happened on a weekend and I didn't have to go out. That is terrible how people just dump things for others to deal with. Yes, it clearly says shoes and clothes. Have a great Monday!!
Love the cards! Best to stay indoors with bad weather...and maybe someone could add "ONLY" to the box?
No account for lazy people.
hugs
Donna
Happy mail is always good! We had snow all day Saturday...if the ground had not been warm I hate to think how much we woukdchave got.. as it was I know there was at least 3 inches, but I really think 4 inches...and Copper just loves it.
People are just lazy I'm afraid. Happy mail is such a great idea.
Very pretty Valentine's cards. So wonderful to receive.
In California people just dump stuff at the side of a road. Trash everywhere and homeless all over the place. Sad state of affairs.
Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
Those are a lovely collection of cards you were sent. Thank you for starting this happy mail Ann :), so uplifting! As for the bad, sheesh! I think you were wise not going to the birthday party. The ugly? Good grief!
That is sweet about the cards you received. They look cute. Sorry about the snow you got too and that you had to miss that party. That is a shame when people drop off stuff like that when it belongs somewhere else. Hope this week goes well for you.
There are boxes like that by where we take our recycling and yes, people think its a dump for anything! I love my happy mail!
We have clothes boxes something like that too but so far people have been using it properly.
Too bad the snow kept you from the party.
The cards you received are lovely.
That's awful that they do that. We have really expensive dump charges here, so people are always ditching their trash wherever. It's horrible. We were quoted $53 to get rid of a box spring and Joe just took a saw to it! I hope someone cleans up all that garbage back there. :(
