The Brenda Photo Challenge (2/27/10) Wood

I know I did this not too long ago but being my first time joining I was a little over excited and posted early. So I thought I would pull up a couple more pictures to go with the wood theme and post on the right day for the challenge.
If you want to follow along with the others or join in the next one, go to The Brenda photo challenge. Also if you want to see my earlier post for this you can find it HERE
Enough of the chit chat already, here's my entries.

I know that flip flops aren't made of wood but they are sitting on a wood deck.

I spotted this when I was out for a walk one day.
Happy Saturday everyone.

Love your pictures! Those flip flops on the wood deck make me long for summer as I look out at fresh snow here. That barn shot you composed perfectly! Love your other wood shots as well and it's okay to be excited about the challenge, Donna get's us all stirred up. I see you scrap. I do too! My kitty Oliver sends his regards to your pup Duke hehe. I look forward to visiting with you more Ann!

I really like the contrast of the wood and the flip-flops - they absolutely pop!

The wooden shed looks like a place I would definitely enjoy spending some time.

Great job, Ann. Have a great weekend!

Love the picture of the shed. Looks like a Thomas Kincaid painting!

I love the pop of blue on that wood deck! The shed looks like it holds many stores.

Love both of these shots! I think I might follow you and give this photo challenge a try myself. I will be posting for the first time on another blog a "You Capture" assignment. Are you familiar with that one?

Hello Ann, I came back... how do you do the signature thing after every post? It's so cute! I wanna make one... :) Thanks!

Great photos! LOVE the bottom one!
I have a huge collection of snowmen too. Used to keep them up all year, but did manage to pack them away already :)

Cool photos (after your white out! lol) and yes, flip flops with wood are called....clogs!! I'm a clog addict (but cannot handle flip flops cuz it's the thing between my toes...ewwwwwwww

That is just the kind of place I would love to find while out walking. What a great old building.

SquirrelQueen said...

The wooden building is beautiful. I love the bright blue of the flip flops against the wood, it makes a great shot.

Alas, the pic of the barn was great, but pictures of Duke would surely win the contest for you. (Flip-flops?)

What a nice place. It's romantic! And flip-flops make me think of a blue summer, *sigh*!

Duni said...

Great photos! I do like wood a lot! I wish we had wooden floorboards instead of the tiles.

Zach said...

Captivating shots!

The blue flip flops in the first photo is actually vibrant that it tends to withdraw my attention from the wood. But it does not mean I am not able to notice the wood at all. :D

The second picture is truly wonderful!

You art works are gifts from the ONE above!

Have a great weekend Ann! ;)

Jeanne oh good I'm off the hook...lol Tell Oliver Duke says hello

Tes thank you very much. One of the few photos that came out exactly how I pictured it :)

Thom thanks, slippers sounds more comfortable than flip flops anyway

From the heart of Texas, thanks I had fun, can't wait for the next one

Wenn I don't know how many times I have gone by that and never noticed it till the day I took that picture

Me-Me pop and at this moment are screaming for summer to arrive

Jeanette I love Thomas Kincaid

Poetic shutterbug the shed just made me want to go inside and check it out, but since it was located next to someone's house I thought it was a bad idea...lol

Brenda I'm always fascinated by old buildings

Donna I love the blue.

Grace why thank you very much

Don, if you could see the entire deck the wood grain would not look too impressive.

Beaded tail I thought the same thing about the shed

LDH I haven't heard of that I'll have to check it out.

Tes, :) I put a comment on your last post to answer your question

Audrey the bottom one is my favorite too

WillOaks...lol from white outs to flip flops what a jump. I have some clogs also. When summer hits and I'm at home I would prefer NO shoes whatsoever

Ratty from the picture it looks like it could be out in the forest in a small clearing but if truth be told it's right out in the open about 100 yards from the road with a house sitting next to it.

SquirrelQueen Blue has always been my favorite color

FishHawk If only Duke were made of wood. Maybe I could have gotten him to chew on a piece of wooden furniture and taken a picture of that.

Fullet, it does have a romantic feel to it doesn't it.

Duni I would love to rip out all my carpet and put in hard wood floors in my house

junezach when I originally did that picture the flip flops were supposed to be the focus of the picture. When I was looking for pictures to use for this, I spotted wood and went with it.
