Good deed for the day

You should all be very proud of Duke today. I know I am.

Look the poor little guy is just worn out. He worked so hard today. He was out before day break with his little keg of brandy in search of stranded motorists. His only thought was of those cold helpless travelers. He came home exhausted and fell asleep almost instantly after setting down his empty keg.
Thanks FishHawk for the inspiration :)

Do you think he shared it with any stranded motorists, or did he keep it all for himself? Bwahahahahahaha. Well, whatever he did I'm proud of him too.

Have a terrific day. :)

Nessa, I think he's drunk. Or maybe it's Ann? That keg didn't empty itself...

Ann said...

Sandee, well I didn't smell any booze on his breath so I'm not sure what happened while he was out there

Now, that's the Duke I have so much love and respect for! (Um, you're sure he didn't take a nip or two himself--right?)

Unknown said...

Ann. Yer funny. And what's even funnier is how long it took me to figure out what you were trying to say.

Ann said...

Audrey, isn't he though

Beaded tail Duke says thanks and he thinks you guys are pawsome too

FishHawk I didn't detect a slurr in his bark and he could still walk a straight line so I don't think he did

Mee2 I can't take all the credit here, it was a comment that FishHawk left on another post that gave me the idea.

*LAUGH* What an adorable picture! Too funny. Ann, not sure it would do you any good to migrate south this winter...it's supposed to snow here today (and don't you just know that everything has been shut down because of it?) No school today, which has actually saved me a sick day as I was taking today off anyway for some testing. Hang in there girl! ;o)

Good Job Duke. Ann I bet it took a whole bottle of booze to finally get that barrel full. LOL

I would be passed out too if i just emptied a keg! Is he snoring?

I think he went on a little bender. He deserves it once in a while right? Especially when he is trying to help cold, stranded motorists :D

Oh, he's so sweet!

Duke is just too cool and I had to go down and catch up on the Duke photo's. I loved his little crappy story that he didn't tell, poor little guy, hope you got your shoe all cleaned up. Those plow guys are something else and I do believe they get some kind of perverse pleasure in plowing us in.

You sent that poor little dog out into a storm? Shame...

Are you sure he didn't just crawl behind the garage and drink it himself???

Ann said...

Lin well if he did it wasn't at our house because we don't have a garage. I think I did see him headed in the direction of the neighbors house though.

Duke sounds like my kind of dog - after digging out several times this week, our dog didn't offer up a drink but rather a mournful look as if she'd gone too long without a biscuit.
