Why can't I focus?

I'm not referring to my camera either. The focus problem is with my brain. I see so many craft projects that I want to try, and then I see something that just puts another idea in my head and before you know it...

I have this

This...

And this
All sitting around unfinished. That's not even all of it. I can't tell you how many other things I've started and never completed. Before I can finish anything another new idea or inspiration pops in and I can't wait to get started on it.
I'm hopeless.

Hey, still working at the quilled initials, but not much done. I think it is called working. When you do complete something it is always very nice.Did see a good sticker today,"People who work must not know how to fish very well."

Ha- We should never talk about how many unfinished projects there are!

Well, at least you get them started. I can't seem to even begin a project of late. Keeping up is my goal at present :)

Ah, creative ping-pong brain! I just have ping-pong brain without the creative part....(Still think the initial thingy is a very salable item)

I'm impressed that you start everything in the first place! I have lots of ideas going on in my head but that's where they stay since I don't get many started. I just love your photography by the way!

Hugs to Duke!

I have been there, well I'm there for a couple of days each month. Keep telling myself it's hormones :)
Some days I just can't focus on anything and feel like staying in bed, it's just too much.
Hope you can get it all together soon. Love what you've started in the bottom photo.

It takes a great mind to have several things on the go at once...maybe the reason you can't focus Ann is because you are in fact a genius!!!

I love those words.

Upstairs in the attic I have some unfinished (non-sewing-related) projects too...so you're not alone!

That's passion and creation. I love to have unfinished works on my desk, although I understand this state of distraction. Let's say it's because of summer :)

I have a scarf that I am almost finished with and for some reason just stopped. I am determined not to but it away until I am done!!
You work is beautiful!!

Oh my that sounds just like me. You should see my closet. I love to make rugs and do needlepoint but I could start my own shop with all the left over stuff. One of the cats went in the closet and started to bring out all the little yarns that I make rugs with. Too funny.
Have a good Sunday and just start on something.

Ann I think you are cursed with the brilliant crafter syndrome.I am afraid it is something you have to live with. What may help is a nice bowl of chocolate ice cream. Actually I think that is what I want. Well have a good day. Happy Crafting.

Out on the prairie don't feel bad, I'm still working on a lot of things with not much done :) Like the sticker, maybe that's my problem, work...lol

sharkbytes I'm only going to mention it this one time then it will never be spoken of again :)

LDH all the projects in my head that have yet to be started in a whole other post :)

Grace Ping-pong brain, that's it. That's exactly what I have

Beaded tail I've probably forgotten more projects than I've actually started

Audrey I think my problem is just too many things going on and I want to do them all but don't know where to start, so I do none :)

allotments4you You know I always suspected that I might be but was just too modest to mention it...lol

Duni oh thank you, I'm so glad I'm not the only one

fullet I wish I could blame it on summer but the truth is it's the same way in winter also

gayle I think I end up getting bored with a project and then it just gets too difficult to get back in to

Marg I can just imagine how much fun the cat had with all that yarn. I tried the rug thing a few times but never had the patience to do that.

There's a blonde joke in there somewhere.

Russ I like your idea of the ice cream. Do you by chance have a medical degree so that I can say I'm only following doctors orders

Swapna I've got a folder full of projects that I've seen and want to try (someday) I just keep adding to it and never seem to do any of them :)

FishHawk well if you think of it I would love to hear it, I can take it really I can

It is because your creative flow is running like Niagra Falls which is a good thing. I wish I had that more often. The positive is you have ideas and begin to work with them. It's a good thing :)

You take good photos lol, specially the one with what looks like newspaper clippings and pushpins (I believe they're called that). I randomly came upon your blog and noticed it, So nice work!

Ann said...

Poetic shutterbug well if I could get a little Hoover dam action going on with my Niagara falls maybe I could actually finish stuff...lol

Juancito glad you stumbled upon my little corner. Those are pieces of newspaper in that picture, and push pins are close enough.

Anne said...

I can't wait to see them when they are finished.

You sound a lot like me. :)

Ann said...

BBoysmom, it's nice to know I'm not alone in the world :)

Anne, hopefully I will eventually finish them. I have a box in the basement that's full of things I've started and it's been sitting there for years.
