Archive Dive

I decided to copy my friend Sandra a.k.a. Mad snapper and do some archive diving. I went back through some old files from when I was first learning to use my photoshop elements. I don't think I have any of my very first edits. Most likely because they were really that bad but these do go back quite a ways. I was always looking for a new trick to try and the "out of bounds" effect was rather fun. This is meant to look like part of the picture is coming out of the original frame. Here are three that I did.

By the time I had gotten to the third one I had found an action that helped do the effect and made it much easier. The novelty wore off though.

I love that Duke is hanging out of the picture. I tried my best to do that photoshop but just didn't have the patience to stick with it. But those are great pictures. Have yourself a great week end.

totally awesome, you know how much i love this type thing, i could do something like 1 and 2 but not the last one. way cool. i love it. so in the last one, did you take the picture of the car? and the background? how many photos are in it. I LOVE IT and Duke can jump out of that photo right into my lap.

I dug through one of the drawers of CD's from years past and am going to do one Archive Dive per week. lots of stuff i forgot about and like you, tons of edits and creations and got tired and have not done it since. i went crazy in 04 when i got Image 9 and now i am thinking of trying some of the things i did in 9 in PS

It's a cool effect. The novelty usually wears off for me when I do something for awhile too.
