Busy busy

We started the day off yesterday with a hearty breakfast
Dad left early to go to Pittsburgh with a friend of his. That left me and mom home alone to do whatever we wanted.
Mom of course wanted to catch up on emails and blogs after having so much trouble on Friday night. Next thing we knew a few hours had gone by and we hadn't done anything.
OH NO!!!! We've got to get busy.
Lets move it mom, we told dad we were going to get this Christmas stuff put away today.
We lucked out big time. We had 99.9% of the decorations packed up and put away and we had just finished putting the tree back in the box when dad got home.
As nice as it is to look at, it's a relief to have it finally put away. It always looks so uncluttered once it all comes down. Now to unclutter the rest of the house.

Our daddy doesn't know he has the option of leaving the house and coming back to the Christmas decorations put away without his help. For some reason we don't think Mommy will tell him either! Hope you had time to get in a walk too!

Woos,
Sadie

I'm working on it too...Day three and counting! Fortunately progress is being made. It sure does take a lot longer to pack them away then it does when I unpack them!!

We need your help down here A LOT more than your mom does. (There is also a 5 pound slab of genuine hickory-smoked bacon waiting for you to come by.)

Julep, Derby and I did exactly the same thing yesterday - get that old tree back in its box until ... well, Xmas rolls back around again. We did manage to break a few of those glass ornaments but all in all it was a relief to get the old home back to normal again ... and get back sewing American Girl doll cloths!

Enjoy your Sunday!

I alaways take my decorations down new years day....it just signifies everything starting anew for me and has kind of become tradition for us.

I love how Duke's head and tail are just a blur in that last photo! I imagine that is his typical post, LOL. Glad you got all the decorations put away! Time's up!!!

I'm glad that you were there to help mom with taking down the tree. You are such a wonderful helpful young man.

I love to put the tree up, but when Christmas is over it comes down. It does make our living room look cluttered too.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

I does become empty when taking down the decorations, I didn't get involved with it this year.

The berries are on an Eastern Cedar tree in my last post.

How does the daddeh get out of helping with the decorations??? He is very spoiled, that daddeh. Nobody gets out of that family fun at our house!

(Isn't it nice to have it all down??)

Duke, you and mommy did a great job putting away Christmas decorations.
Did you and daddy get mommy a new sewing machine for Christmas?
I hope you're having a fun Sunday!
Hugs and kisses to you!

I'm impressed you can do that all by yourself - you must have some muscles! sandie

We just took our tree down too yesterday. I was kinda procastinating about it for quite a many days... it would have been good to leave it on for the whole year.. so that i do not need to drag it out again next Christmas hehehehehehe

We did the same thing! I was kind of sad taking down the tree - it felt like the holidays passed by too fast this year.

I did the same thing with the outside of the house last week. The inside still has the lights up. I just hate taking them down...it looks so empty and bare.
Congrats on getting yours taken down :)

Hello little Duke! You know what? Gizzy hated me being on the computer and Weezie and Romeow don't like it much either...they'd rather me play with them or take them for a walk and that's what I'm going to do right now....hope you'll have a wonderful day! We love you!!!

I'm terrible at putting things away. But Duke is really on the go!

Oh, did you get a sewing machine for Christmas? I read the whole thing below, it is so cool to believe I may have a strong mind, because I have not been so strong lately. I am just returning from an extended sick leave and catching up. Gosh, I can't remember if I've already commented to you on this post, too many drugs!!! Ack!!
