who ordered that?

It certainly wasn't me. I want to know how I return it.

I got up for work yesterday morning and got a bit of a shock when I let Duke outside. I was not expecting all that snow and it was still coming down. It snowed ALL day long.
I got home from work, put my stuff in the house and then went back outside to shovel. While I was out there a kid came by on a 4 wheeler that had a plow on the front of it. He stopped at the end of the driveway and asked me if I wanted some help.  He said his plow didn't have a lot of weight on it but he would punch out the end of the driveway and then be on his way. When he was done he said it was on the house. Let me tell you, that kid made my day.
I certainly didn't get any help from a certain little white guy who lives here.
Nope, he was inside, wrapped in his nice warm sweater hanging by the register.

Today I have the day off since I worked yesterday. I have no plans for the day. I'm just going to do whatever feels right at the moment.

Hi There, We have some snow here also. They have closed schools. The worst thing though is the frigid temperatures... It's supposed to go down into the low teens tonight.. Right now--it's 17... GADS!!!!!

Enjoy your day off and stay INSIDE and stay WARM.
Hugs,
Betsy

I used to like winter....until I saw this reminder of what it's like. I think I'm getting too old for it! Definitely not placing an order for it here!

We didn't order it here either!!! But...tonight it is here. Fortunately I don't have to shovel it as my husband uses the snowblower. That was very nice of the kid on the four wheeler! Duke looks quite content there by the register!!
Happy New Year!

heavens to Betsey! Look at all that snow. I don't envy you - but what a wonderful neighbourly helper you had xx

Oh no! That's a lot! We don't have snow, but lots of rain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we don't get any!

Woo! Look at all that white stuff (brrr). Hanging out? Really? Huh. And here I thought Duke was hard at work as a draft dodger...

I think Duke has the right idea sitting by the heater vent gazing comfortably out on the snowy scene. Cute jacket he is wearing!

handsome pup in that red sweater and if i were there i would be hugging that register too. what a wonderful thing to happen, meeting a young man who helped at no charge. makes my day reading about it, proof that there are nice helpful people left in this crazy world. don't send that snow this way.

I think my kids ordered that but mother nature must had the wrong address. :)They were hopping for snow here.

Your plan for today sounded great! Enjoy! To another great year a head!

What did Duke think about the snow? I am sure your feelings are very close to what mine would be but our dog loves the snow.

The entire time I was in NY, I expected to wake up in the morning to that, but aside from a tiny bit of snow coming down when I was driving up and a few flurries as I was leaving it was a whiteless week up there in the mountains.

We've got the cold (for two days) but not the *S* - when it does *S* we happily pay people to clear off our 12 or so feet of side walk, then we have them clear the steps and sidewalk of the people next door who are old and a bit disabled...They're nice people but they've never acknowledged the fact that we have their steps/walk cleared. I wonder if they think there are elves that come and do it?

I don't ever want to live in snow country. It's pretty, but only in pictures. I hate the cold, but it would much worse if there was snow involved.

Have a terrific day off. My best to that slacker Duke. Just saying. :)

That was nice of the kid to help you with the snow. We bet you enjoyed coming back inside to the cute little white guy in the red sweater! :)

Duke looks adorable - I can't blame him for hanging out inside. Hope you had a great day off!

What a great kid. Little did he know how much that helps out.

I used to walk up and down the street, snowblowing all the old people's driveways and sidewalks. You know, I never got one thank you in all those years. I wasn't looking for money or a fuss, but you know, a simple wave from the window would have been nice.

Now, I just do my own drive and that of my friend down the block. It's more fun being out there working with a friend--or at least another helper! (wink. wink. DUKE!)

Brr! Oh no .. not snow!!! I've almost forgotten what it looks like .. when you have it come to you it often flies over the sea to us!!! Oh dear. :(

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ANN - MY BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FOR 2012!

I think duke had the right idea. I'm expecting snow like that where I live in about a week. I wish there's a kid with a four wheeler like that here in my town.

OH ~ poor Ann and Duke! Look at all that nasty snow! It is supposed to get up to +10c (50F) here today in Southwest Saskatchewan. Very very unusual for us this time of year. No snow, no winter coats, no winter boots...in January...in Saskatchewan???? I love it.

So no offence my friend, but please keep that snow there.

I will send you warm thoughts...hope that helps... ;)

Oh my goodness glory girl, thank heavens for generous boys on four wheelers!!!

That woulda been a job and a half.

Honey, ya'll can keep the white stuff...I make no bones about how I dislike winter.

Instead of a Ozark Farm Chick, I think I should'a been a California Girl! Heeehehehe!

God bless ya sweetie and have a glorious 2012!!!

I think Duke had the right idea. We didn't get that. It is cold and we only have a dusting of snow. I'm sure we will get ours soon.

Man-o-man! Everyone got more snow than I did. Was I bad this year, Santa?

It looks like you're getting all of our weather. The storms just keep passing around us.
That was very nice of that guy to do that, although it looks like he was having a lot of fun doing it :)
Duke, you have the right idea :-)
