Just annoyed.

Wednesday was just one of those days where everything annoyed me. People, places, things, and situations, it was all annoying. When I get like that, I'm lazy and uninspired. There are things that I could do and things that I should do but it's not happening.

I rarely ever get a phone call that is something that I care to take. It's normally one kind of solicitation or another. Lately, for some reason, I've answered a couple. Why I have no idea. The first one, the woman kept talking right over me every time I tried to interrupt her. Finally, she said "can you hear me" I responded with "I can hear you but you obviously can't hear a thing I said". She very quickly told me to have a good day and hung up. Call two was some guy soliciting for some policeman's something or other. When he asked me what donation amount I would like to give I lied and said that I was currently unemployed and could not afford anything. He said "That's ok" and continued on. I very loudly interrupted him and said "Are you kidding me? I say I'm unemployed and you say that's OK?" He hung up on me.

Oh look, top of the list it says scam likely. I didn't answer that one.

They didn't used to call our cell phones, only land lines. But now they do. I don't answer a number I don't recognize. If it is a friend or something, they will leave a message. Some tell you to press a certain number to be taken off their list. But that usually just lets them know that you were listening and it is a viable number. So annoying. We have actually had to take our phone off the hook in order to get some sleep.

It is very frustrating! You have to wonder if these same solicitors are bothered in the privacy of their home!!!

we get 3 to 6 a day, all hours of the day and evening. I answer nothing I don't recognize, I wait to hear them start talking then pick it up, that is on the house phone. I don't use my cell so only get 1 or 2 a month, don't know wehre they get the number because I have never put it on the web, and there are only 5 people who have the number. I am sick with ear infection and was up a couple of hours last night, so am doing the walk in thing to the doc at 7. stayed home from pool and will miss my meeting

I get a lot of those calls too. I don't even bother to answer. It's too annoying. We are bombarded with spam.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I ignore a lot of calls, but can't blow off every unknown number or I would miss opportunities I want. Lots of times I hope they leave a voicemail if it's something "real"

Well I totally understand your mood. As for scam callers, we still have a landline and I have Nomorobo - so 99.9% of scam calls are blocked after one ring. And those are the only calls we get on the landline!

The more you answer these calls, the more you will get. Your number is marked as a "hit" and it will just target you for more sales calls.

if you don't know who is calling you, don't answer it. If it is legit, they will leave a message. Unless you like these calls....

I've noticed at our house any call that starts with a V seems to be police, fireman or veterans. (They show up on TV) I'm so tired of the calls and it happens on the land line and the cell phone. CA has had a solar panels call for 5 years now. How many times do you have to say NO!!

I can so relate, Ann! You are not alone, that's for sure. My moods like that pass and I know yours will too. Hang in there... and go to bed early. That's what helps me the most. Love ya, Andrea

Bet the donation request was a scam too! We get these calls and now they are cloning phone numbers that look like local phone numbers. I got a call back from a man who said he missed my call and wanted to know what I wanted. I didn't call him! That means a scammer is using my number! So far I haven't heard from others thank Cod but there's nothing I can do anyway. I block all those scam calls so now only get one or two a month.

On my land line I ask them to hold and put the phone in the desk drawer.Coming back if they are still there say I am almost done, be right back.

I normally don't answer the numbers I don't know. Not sure why I did those two times. I figure if I don't know the number and it's someone important, they'll leave a voice mail.

The worst part is I used to do that kind of job. Before I started working where I do now, I worked for a telemarketing company for 9 years.

most of the time I don't answer. Not sure why I did those times.

In your situation, I guess it would be more important to take the calls. I don't know why I took those. Normally if I don't know the number I won't answer.

I figure they get my cell phone number through places I have had to fill it in online. The one that gets me is the landline we have. We don't use it and nobody has the number but the caller ID comes up on the tv with places that have to be telemarketing.

Good to know. I didn't realize that. No more answering unknown numbers for me ever again :)

Yes, this too shall pass...lol I guess I get to a point sometimes where I've just overloaded all the senses and it's time for wee melt down.

I heard about the cloning thing. That happened in reverse here. I called a number back and the lady who answered said it was her business number and she hadn't called me. She apparently had had more than one person say that to her though.

LOL. Good one.
