On the wall by the step going into the room previously known as the man cave, there are two signs hanging. Neither one of them falls into the wildlife category.
These are signs that I've had around the house since I was married to my first husband. He used to work for a shop that made porcelain enameled signs. There were all kinds of nostalgic type advertisement signs. The employees were allowed to take home the ones that didn't pass quality control. At one time we had a ton of these things. When he left he didn't take any of them and I think I ended up giving quite a few away but I kept a few. These coke signs were two that I kept.
If you are a cola drinker, do you prefer coke or pepsi? When I was in high school I always drank pepsi. Somewhere along the line I switched to coke and then at one point when I was dieting I started drinking diet coke.

I love Coke but not the sugar free one.

Drinking soda pops was not something done on a regular basis, but when I did, coke was my choice, root beer would have to be all time favorite though. Now, it's Arnold Palmer's, very nice in the summer.
How neat that you have these porcelain signs.
Have a nice Friday and weekend ~ FlowerLady
these signs may be worth a good bit of money to collectors, search ebay for the same ones and see what they get for them... I drank coke my whole life until I changed to diet coke and did not like it but did like diet pepsi. I don't drink either one but once in a great while when out shopping I will float a loan from the bank and buy a diet pepsi… they run from 1.89 to 2.00 . yowsa. I keep diet 7 up in the house for if we have pizza or burgers.. and if I feel sick, I pour diet 7 up over ice and sip, ginger ale gives me instant heart burn
I love the signs and they really are valuable now! I always drank Coke...but haven't drank soft drinks in YEARS!
Soda was a treat when I was growing up. Back in the day we had 'candy stores' or as some called them soda fountains, whatever, and one could get a freshly made cherry coke or vanilla coke. Of course it being NYC, an egg cream with a stick pretzel was the preferred liquid refreshment. Now - I don't drink soda at all but if I did, I prefer 7-Up or ginger ale or orange soda. As everyone else said, those signs are spectacular and could be worth a VERY pretty penny.
Coke all the way. I've never seen the one with the airplane. I like it.
Check this out for starters https://www.collectorsweekly.com/coca-cola/signs
Rarely ever drink soda, but if I do it's a Pepsi. Love the signs. I remember when they were all over the place.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Those signs would be a collectors dream! I drank pop as a kid but then rarely did as an adult. Now that I've been on my health journey this past year I won't drink it because it's all chemicals. Yeah, I turned into one of those weird people! Some days I wonder who I am!
I had a metal Coke sign too! Just like you, when I was young I liked Pepsi. But in middle age, I taste tested them both again, and switched to Coke. Diet sodas have ingredients that ramp up your appetite and make you more hungry. Better to have just a small amount of the real thing.
my family had a coke room at one time, think they hit a garage sale after too many years
My choice was ALWAYS Coke.... Now --I don't drink any of the colas except a Mtn. Dew or Mello Yellow on occasion....
Hugs,
Betsy
I don't drink either now but I drank Pepsi in high school too. Once in a while I have a Sprite or a root beer float. :)
Cool signs!
Many years ago I drank Pepsi, the caffeine free variety, never diet.
Now, I don't drink much soda but when I do I definitely prefer Coke.
Cool signs. Saw something today where you put Sprite in a coke bottle, then add soy sauce till it looks like Coke and put the cap back on. - It's a "prank" but wouldn't that be funny to see?
I haven't had a soda in 20 years but I am a collector of signs like that. I'm glad you still have them.
