On my day off.

I made a trip to the social security office. I was the beneficiary on my mothers life insurance policy and I need to send them a death certificate. Attempting to get the information I need through the one person who could supply it is useless. That person refuses respond to any attempts to contact her. The life insurance company suggested the SS administration. The nice lady I talked to there is attempting to get the information I need.

After leaving there I strolled through Joann fabric. It's been a long time since I've been there. I can't buy anything but I can still look.

Came home and attempted to do something crafty. It's not the most beautiful card ever but I cut it using my cricut machine. It's one of the free files for the week..

  1. I really like this one a lot. I like the way the leaf is made up of separate parts.

  5. You can apply to the records office of the town/city/county where your your mother died. Or you can contact the funeral home that handled your mother's funeral. There might be a fee involved but usually no more than $5 or $10 (which might seem like a lot to you right now.)

    The card is really lovely.

  9. Grace gave excellent resources. I hope you get what you need soon.

I guess the moratorium on spending might be a good time to dig through what you have and use it up. That's what I do.

  10. Ohhh... what a pretty card, Ann. I love it!! And you might want to contact the funeral home for a copy of your mother's death certificate. They should have one on file. Lovingly~ Andrea xoxo

  11. Your card looks very fallish! JoAnn's is such a great store, but I try to stay away so that I won't spend $ I don't have to spend.

I do hope you get the info you need from the SS office and get this all settled soon.

Love, hugs & prayers ~ FlowerLady
