Struggle

It was a bit of a struggle to come up with a title for this post so I decided that the word struggle would become the title even though it has absolutely nothing to do with the post itself. To be perfectly honest, I'm not really sure what the post is about.

I took a picture of the tree in my back yard but I was attempting to get a picture of the lines in the grass from mowing. When I came home from work yesterday it was time to mow. Apparently the back yard was a little too wet because the mower left extra heavy tracks through the yard.

Sorry, bad cell phone picture.

But yes, there are deep tracks through the back yard but it's mowed and that's what matters.  Oh and my shoes will dry.

Good for you! Yes, the important thing is the lawn is mowed and off your mind. :)

I remember a time when mowing the yard was a favorite job....that was a long time ago! Now it is one that lays heavily on my mind. Even though we have a small yard. So, yes, the important thing is the yard is mowed...and you have a pretty tree.

With all the soaking we got last night I know mine is way to wet to mow right now. Problem is between what I have to do and the rain that keeps coming in mine will have to wait. Thank goodness it is not bad. Well, the tree looks great and it is not stuggling! :0)

I see the lines from mowing. That's a lot of grass to cut!

Now you can enjoy your day off without having to mow. That's always a plus.

Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I do see the tracks! I always like seeing them. Some people around here actually mow patterns and letters into the grass.

Well...you got it done for the weekend. Don't mow wet if you don't have to. It gunks up your machine underneath and then you have to scrape it off when it dries.

yes at least until next week

good thing I'm not bothered by lines...lol

I know about where the property line is so if I mow before my next door neighbor I just go to about that spot. If he mows first I just start where he left off in his yard.

I was going to wait but then decided to just go ahead with it

that I can

thanks. it is a big job. It takes about an hour to do it

I like the tracks too but usually not quite so prominant.

Yep. I really did consider not mowing but then I figured by next week it would be out of control

I live in a private rental, and one of things landlords specialise in, is not caring about the yard...I finally had to give up mowing my own lawn because the grassed areas are too uneven and with my balance not much better. Then there are the edges and bits again, most edges not thought out about...SO I've employed a lawncare guy who both cuts, and weed-eats and then uses a blower. He also does the very narrow strip (about 1' wide) up to the end of the driveway, and he does a far better job than I ever did. I had no way to do the edges! And he whips his weed eater over the small weedy "gardens" which are just "weeds"...
Recently I gave my electric mower away to a friend...but I didn't give her the special el.cord as it's handy for other reasons!

I've thought about looking in to having someone take care of the yard work for me. For now I can still do it but the older I get the harder it is

For me, it freed up so much time and of course effort...and it always looks nice, which makes me happier :-)

I always loved the sight of lines in freshly mowed grass! I haven't mowed a lawn in a long time but I doubt they'd be that straight.
