Daffodils

The other day I noticed I had some daffodils growing. I never even noticed them coming up.

Yesterday I ended up having to go in on my day off. Again we have a shortage on people and then the ones we do have either call off or request off. It's not easy finding a replacement. Well for yesterday everybody said no and I was the only one left so I had to go to work. At least it was only 4 hours but still. Needless to say I'm looking forward to getting home from work today and not going back until Tuesday. If my phone rings on Monday and the caller ID says work I am not answering

Can't say I blame you about not answering...but bet you will find it hard to ignore it.

I was on day 3 of my vacation when the planes hit the toweres on 911, I was called in that day and did not get a day off, 7 days a week for about 3 months. that popped in my head when i read this. no idea why. hope they don't ruin your day by calling and making you make a decision.. people who are good and faithful employees are the ones who suffer from the ones who call off a lot

I wouldn't answer either. There is only so much you can take.

Just bet your workplace knows they can depend on you to pick up the slack. Being conscientious sometimes sucks. Have a good one. ^^

It's hard to find people, especially the young, who want to work. My son is sub-contracted as a working supervisor, cleaning carpets at the local casino. I'm telling you, he has a *very* hard time keeping workers. Many times it's only him working. Awful! You have the right idea, Ann... don't answer the phone! ~Andrea xoxo

The daffodils are so pretty! Sorry you got stuck going in to work on your day off. I don't blame you for not answering if it happens again tomorrow. I used to have a ringtone set on my cell. If work called my phone would say it's work calling, do not pick up the phone lol!

In the end you won't get thanked for doing extra Anne. Tom was always obliging when he worked and he was used. Ignore that phone and have a nice break.

DO NOT ANSWER YOUR PHONE! Enjoy your days off with no worries. I'm really loving seeing the spring flowers popping up. Yesterday I saw my first red-winged blackbird of the season. I was too excited because it's one of my favorites. It's my sign that winter is on its way out!

I think you are entitled to not filling in just like the other employees do. Yeah...DO NOT answer your phone, Ann.

In the long run you’re not doing anyone any favors if you run yourself into the ground. I like the idea of ignoring the calls. I also love your daffodils. ❤️

Your daffodils are so pretty and their cheery little faces say, "Spring is here!"
Get some rest and let the someone else fill in for the ones that think they can stay home and take your day off . . . you work hard and deserve a couple days to rest each week.
God bless you,
Connie :)
