I just have to say

I love you guys. Your comments yesterday were so thoughtful and they really did help lift my spirits. I definitely liked the idea of eating those chocolates myself.

I may not have indulged in a box of chocolates but I did cook up a pot of comfort food. I made Chicken Alfredo Tortellini Soup. The recipe came from THIS SITE. I didn't follow the recipe exactly but pretty close and it was delicious. I'll save this one to make again.

This looks SO good.

But if you are going to eat pasta alfredo, you may as well eat chocolate! 😄

Soup sounds great. Never made that but I love a good taco soup and I have been thinking of making it recently. Esp last week when the temps were cooler. Now, the heat is here yet again...I might make it anyway. Sorry you were feeling down. Hate those times.

That's great that you took some time to find that comfort recipe and then create it.

As for other comfort food, "just do it" - a few days ago I made the online grocery order and because I forgot something last time, that I just adore, bought the largest package of marshmallows. Somehow the pillowy softness of them, get to me every time.

But I will have to ration them, 'cause somehow I doubled many of my foodstuffs, actually one of the doubling up was the actual picker! My freezer and fridge are chokka block! But I'm not going to go hungry...

I love looking at new recipes. Thanks so much for this one. Every now and again I treat myself to a bar of chocolate with a layer of marzipan in it. Works wonders for me :))) But have to say, a bowl of comforting soup would also work wonders.
