So I'm much better today than I was yesterday. When I got to work I handed my letter to the boss. We had a nice long talk and I spelled it all out for him and told him how I felt. He told me I could fire her and he would back me.
I've calmed down considerably and my original thoughts of handing in my resignation have passed. I honestly do like my job and I don't want to start over somewhere else.
As for the other employee, she wasn't scheduled yesterday and I highly doubt that she will show up today. Will I fire her? I'm thinking that instead perhaps keeping her there and letting her know in no uncertain terms that if she ever talks to me the way she did again that it will be the end of her employment and that I do have the authority to do it.
We'll see how things go.
Now hopefully I can move on to a better subject for tomorrow.

I'm so glad you had the talk with the boss and that he backed you up.
maybe she will be a no show and you will not have to fire her. my thoughts are if she did that once she will do it again... yay for the boss back up...
You have a good boss! She probably knows what'll happen if she shows back up. You're the bigger person, with great leadership skills...
Well done friend!

So thankful that everything turned out better and that you are able to stay at the job that you enjoy.
Glad you have a boss that backs you up! It sure makes all the difference. I don't blame you for not wanting to start over at another job! I hope this terrible girl doesn't show up again!
So glad your boss backed you up!!!
And I think you stated plan, is the best. Make sure you make her stick to it.
Hugs, hugs, hugs!
Ya'know. We don't have to be "perky" every day. Life has ups and downs and it's perfectly ok to let them come into our blogs. IF it will help us.
More hugs...

I'm so glad things are better. You take care.
You have handled this gracefully Ann. So glad you feel better about about it all.
It's good to read that your supervisor is backing YOU!!
Hi Ann! I'm sorry to hear things were rough at work this last day or two. I'm glad to hear your boss is backing you. I hope she doesn't return and if she does I love the plan of action! I sure have missed you, I'll see you again soon!
I'm glad you're better and you're handling this like a boss. Good for you. She may never come back too. She had to know she went to far.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
Your workplace should be a place you ferel safe and respected. I'm putting you in my prayers.
Glad this day was better then the day before. HOping it all works out.
What a wimpy-ass boss you have. *gawd* HE should have fired her & not made you do it. Typical male!! *haha* But I'm glad the situation is at a point of being able to be resolved, one way or another. ~Andrea xoxoxo
I read yesterdays post - but realised there was probably going to be a sequel and there is.
I'm glad to see that the "boss" has your back and that maybe the person will start to see sense, I suspect it's the usual kind of thing where the young think the senior is all wrong. The turnover seems quite high especially with younger people who "always know you've got it wrong" - never mind the fact they really have no life experience.
And I'm about to see what crafting you've gotten into - a good way to let off steam...
