My day off

Saturday was a half ambitious day. I spent part of the day working on getting things back in order around the house. The other half was spent playing on the computer, watching TV, and just being lazy.

I really want this year to include more crafting. My other goal for the year is to at least make more progress on decluttering my house. Whether or not I'll accomplish any of this, I have no idea, but I will try.

But first I take a break.

Comfy! We all need a day of rest every week, and that means doing nothing except what we feel like.

Sounds like a plan.
I definitely want to hone my skills at painting. And I probably need to do some decluttering as well.
Have a lovely Sunday Ann!

When I declutter, I set one of those tie trash bags in a chair…when I see something that needs to go, I pop it into the bag.
When it gets full, off I go to the Salvation Army. Useless books, clothes, dishes…pans…old towels…DVD’s…you name it.
And of course, it’s fun going back into their thrift store to find a few newish trinkets!😂
Have a sweet Sunday!

I am to the point I dont know what else to get rid of...I would hate to see all that has left this house in the past few years.

The Break is the most important part of the day. I am finding 2 hours is about my limits before a break, I used to go until done no matter how long it took. now I divide things into days.
love you soft slippers. at least you got some things done. each blog I go to is mentioning decluttering. I wonder how many are actually doing it.

It is hard to get the things you want to accomplish done when you're working full time. Taking a break should be the priority!

That is the perfect kind of day off! I also thought I would like to do more crafts this year. Well see, right?

It's nice to pace yourself...heehee! Sounds like a plan that I need to adopt too. I have some crafting to do right now but I'm on break...again! lol

I always took breaks on my days off like you did with a little lounging around on the couch :) Its good for us I think! I wish I was more crafty but I don't think I got that gene, lol :) I do enjoy looking at all the great creations others make though :)

I've got so much to get rid of ---it's in a spare room now--that I don't think I have enough boxes. (Some of the stuff is too heavy for bags.)

I realized today that I can't get crap done cause not only the pain but the no energy.....which of course leads up to breaks. Those breaks usually lead up to FB or blogging....YEP. my Golden Years are actually determined according to my body. I hate it. With luck however, if I ever get the craft room sat up the way I want it, most of my crafting will be able to be done....SITTING! All but the wood work and building. So going to need to push for that. Enough your break....they are always good.

I'm decluttering too, but in teeny baby steps. There's no hurry. "Work is precious, save some for tomorrow."

I tend to lead towards "first I take a break" too!

That's an interesting point about responding and them knowing it is an active email address. I hate the other side of the tracks too. I went to bowling last Tuesday and caught two trains. I was there for 15 minutes. Thought I would be late for bowling but for some reason it was like a Twilight Zone driving to bowling. I didn't hit any traffic backups at all.

We barely took our tree down Monday! I was very sad. But my husband surprised me and ordered a small tabletop tree with ornaments for Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. I can hardly wait to see it all.
We keep downsizing but winter is bad for it. No place to put it in the shed or garage to sort it. Our spare bedroom was a dumping grounds for everything out of sight during the holidays.
The little ones like their toys when they come over. But baby doll beds and strollers are needing a room of their own. Tonka trucks and boy toys too. But it is a fun life.
Good luck with downsizing and take those important breaks cause we all need them.
