Ding dong

This is the kind of post you get when I have absolutely nothing else to talk about. Lately, when I'm watching TV in the evenings there's a commercial that will come on that has a ringing doorbell. Every single time that commercial comes on Gibbs hears the doorbell and starts barking

Yes ding dong, I'm talking about you.

He may look like he's napping here but if that commercial comes on again he'll be up and barking.

I LOVE it!!!! And in case you didn't know, some of your "nothing" posts are your best ones. Like this. Oh, he looks SO suspicious!

Our Isaiah goes off to hide when that happens.

He looks like he's very annoyed with you for sharing that little detail, lol

My little Beefy boy used to do the same thing. Gibbs is such a little cutie, he's just being a good watchdog and trying to protect you. :)

I agree with Ginny, love this post and too funny on the barking. Beau has started watching TV if there are dogs or some other animals. he also pays attention if dogs bark but doesn't bark back, he does get up and go look to see if they are in the tv. Gibbs on the sofa in 2nd photo is one of his cutest photos ever, hugs sweet Gibbs

I can understand his frustration. He certainly doesn't look happy!

*hahahaha* Dogs... don't ya just love em to pieces?!!! What a darling story!! Back in the 90s when we had two Standard Poodles and I used to listen to talk radio alot, there was a commercial that came on quite often for Motel 6. I think it had violins in it. But anyway, the minute that commercial started to play, Mozart used to come running from wherever he was at, in the house, and throw his head back & start howling!! OMG!! Every. Single. Time. Then of course Fur Elise would hear him & she'd come running and start chiming in too. Both dogs have been gone 16+ years now but that memory will never fade! *lol* Thanks for rekindling it with this post, Ann! ~Andrea xoxoxo

Awwwww, Gibbs is adorable and he's a good little guard dog :) When my son was young and still living at home, he put up a poster in his room that I didn't like very much. It was a big one of The Terminator. A real scary looking thing that I was going to remove and was just biding my time. I was making the beds upstairs and our dog Bridgette suddenly started growling so loudly. I had never seen her that way before, as if she was getting ready to charge at something. Her haunches were primed, the hairs on her neck were straight up and I realized she was staring at that poster. I had to take it off the wall and let her sniff it, so she would see it was okay and no burglar had got into the house. I did turn the poster to the wall, and our son did get rid of it thankfully after he saw the effect it had on his dog ;) Your story about Gibbs brought this all back and I hadn't thought of it in years.

Poor dog! It's not his fault. I'd write to whom the add is for and complain. Bet they never thought of all the people, with dogs, who learn to hate this add!!!!!!

I think he is protecting you; he sure is sweet looking. My dog pays no attention whatsoever to anything on TV, not even dogs barking.

That commercial sounds annoying ;-)
My kitties hate doorbells. They scoot under the sofa.
Gibbs looks super cute in the pics!

Ha ha! I remember all our cats used to run out of the room whenever a doorbell sounded in TV!

Funny how they can't tell the difference in the tv and real....Dakota was amazing at being my Ding Dong! Yet, thunder on TV never bothered him but outside....oops!
