The B side

So a lot of you knew the song I posted about the other day by Maureen McGovern. Well back in high school I had a a 45 with that song on it. I know, I'm showing my age by saying I had a 45. Any way, I wonder how many of you know the song that was on the B side of that record. It was called  Midnight Storm.

While we're talking about music. I'll post another video. I've had this song stuck in my head for a couple weeks now.
The End of the Innocence by Don Henley

I never heard Midnight Storm. But of course I know the Don Henly one, it is a good song for sure! I can never remember if it was him or Glen Frey who died, but I think it was Henley.

In answer to Ginny...Gken Frey died...so hard to believe he is gone. I had 45's, too. So we are both showing our age but at this age. Who cares? Actually, I never cared at any age.

Glen not Gken!

Yes, I did know, but forgot. I even have 45's, 33 1/3, and cassettes. Can't make myself throw them out.

I am much older than any of the ones who commented, but never had the records, no music in our house growing up. My grandmother had maybe 100 45 records. she would stack as many as she could, about 20 I think on her little record player and they would play all the time. the ones i remember were Tennesee Ernie Ford and several that just left my mind. the OLD timers. I heard those several times a year when visiting her here. My cousin in 1959 had a stereo with dozens of 33 albums, Johnny Mathis and his ilk. heard those sometimes.

I still have a lot of vinyl records, 45s included. I'm way older than you.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

How 'bout Bill Haley and the Comets? How 'bout Vaughn ("Sailing with the Moon") Williams? How 'bout Skitch Henderson?

Wow! I didn't know either one of them. It must have been in the late 60's or the early 70's. I lived in Tennessee then and all that I could get on the radio was country western. Steve was always so surprised when an older hit song would come on the radio and I'd never heard it.

Oh wow, I hadn't thought of the B sides of 45's in years!! Thanks for the memories that brings up :) I am not familiar with Midnight Storm, but I do know the Don Henley one. I also like his The Boys of Summer.
