See a penny pick it up
Do you pick up pennies if you see one on the ground? Whenever I see one that old poem always goes through my head. See a penny pick it up all day you'll have good luck. See a penny leave it lay, bad luck you'll have all day. I'm not about to risk having bad luck just because I didn't pick up a penny.

I haven't heard this little rhyme in years! No, we don't pick them up. Our backs are more important than one cent (we both have very bad backs). You are lucky that you can bend!
I pick them up....and not just the pennies
It goes through my head too when I see one so yes I pick it up. My grandmother always picked them up and I do the same.
That poem goes through my head, I do oick.them up, but not because I am afraid of bad luck. Pennies add up!
I don't think I've heard that saying before but I always pick up pennies when I see them. I just think of them as kisses from heaven!
I pick up any or all coins I see, and keep them in a change purse in my car. once I had 10 dollars in that purse and gave it all to a man and woman who were homeless and had found a house that they could stay there at night for 2 dollars a night. she cried when I gave ther that and said they could sleep inside 5 nights with that change purse. right now I have about 6 or 7 dollars in the purse, not all is found change, some is occasion change from dollar tree which is the only place I spend cash. if its less than 5 dollars they prefer cash .
I enjoyed reading this and Ginny's first comment reads the same for me too. I probably would pick the penny up if I could, not that I'm superstitious or anything, lol :)
Since I hike in the woods and don't shop much any more, I never seen a penny but I would pick it up...for sure!
You probably already know I pick up pennies and all coins and put them in glass banks.

It's been so long since I've seen one! I probably wouldn't pick it up because we seldom use coins nowadays.
I haven't seen a penny on the ground in a long time, though I did just make an appointment to get my eyes seen to. Maybe I'll have some luck when that's done, lol!
