I'm a lucky girl

I received the following email recently. I almost missed it as it went to my spam folder.

This just made me laugh. They extensively reviewed my paperwork, yet they couldn't even fill in my first name in the salutation.

I'm curious to know what the amount is that I may indeed receive. Lucky me, I don't even have to pay it back.

The sad thing is, that I'm sure there are people out there who do actually fall for this stuff.

I NEVER fill out anything that asks in email, not even my doctor's office or bank or anything that sends a link. I go to the site and see if its real and look for the message, I am getting crazy ones like this more and more. I don't even read my spam folder, I glance to make sure there is not a name of business I know.. it amazes me how they come up with all this junk.

I hate to see stuff like this. Taking advantage of people is just so wrong on so many levels.

The next message would probably have been that you just have to send x amount of money to them for a processing fee! SO sad that so many people fall for those scams.

There are people that fall for this. The older we get the more dangerous this kind of thing is.

Have a fabulous day off Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

What a shame there are so many scams on the internet!
This is how our faith is lost! There should be more safeguards for users!!
Thanks so much for bringing this up Anna!
There are people who are victims!

Man, this one is really bold. You know, I'm dumb enough to have filled out a "Chime," app, and I hate to admit, it but another one of those, but thank goodness, neither one knows how to help you enter a password. I thought that was interesting, as well as scary.

Ann, I think I'm either stupid or too curious. They say that curiosity is the basis for intelligence, but I'm not so sure about that.

Your blog looks good, I've been away a while. Nice to see you keeping on...I'm slowly coming back. Just posting Tuesday's Question and visiting.

Take care
