This and that

After I got back from work yesterday morning I did a little of this and a little of that. I worked on cleaning up my craft room but I still have a long way to go on that. I also worked on one of those shutters that I showed you before. I did a repair job to a broken Christmas decoration and I also did a load of laundry. All that and it really feels like I did very little.

I thought I would do a quick video and show you the whole village on my fireplace. It's not very big so I went up and back. Pardon the jerky movements, it was filmed by jerky me.

It is adorable, and has so many wonderful details! I think my favorite is the church. And the boys making a snowman.

Your village is terrific. We couldn't do that here, the cats would have everything on the floor in 30 seconds. Have a good day Ann.

Aw, how sweet! Its fun to set it up each year, isn't it? Do you get new pieces each year?

Your village is adorable. From a simpler time. I love it.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and scritches to Gibbs. ♥

My first reaction to these villages that people set up is that it is like playing with a doll house without the house LOL With my penchant for rearranging furniture I would be spending an inordinate amount of time fussing with one. I do think they are fun tho...

the village is beautiful, I agree with Annie about the pond and my favorite part is that adorable pickup truck with the tree.... yay for all you accomplished.... had to giggle at the repaired the ornament. I just toss mine away

Thanks. The ice pond was included in a set I found at a yard sale. It had trees, people, a bench, mailbox and a few other things.

Thanks. I was going to just take a picture but couldn't get it all in one shot so I figured a video would work better

Thanks. The church was one of the first things I got.

Lucky for me it sits up high otherwise Gibbs would probably walk through town and destroy it.

It is fun. I usually buy at least one new thing every year even if it's small and inexpensive. Last year I was going to try and pick up extra pieces after Christmas but by the time I got there it was all wiped out.

Your welcome. I enjoy sharing it.

Ah yes, a simpler time. I wish things were more like that this time of year.

I believe you're right, it is a bit like a doll house. When I first put it out I tend to move things around until I like it but once I'm happy it stays put and I just enjoy seeing it lit up

Wouldn't it be fun to stroll through an old fashioned town like that and stop to skate a while.
