Just take those old records off the shelf
Or if you don't have any you can go buy some new ones at Walmart. While strolling through the store recently I saw their display of vinyl records and turtables.

I had no idea wm is selling records. how did I miss this? we did not have any but my cousin next door had all three. and my grandmother here in FL had a 45 player that she stacked about 20 on and they played and played. think Eddie Arnold and Johnny Cash and I can't remember the rest right now... wonder if the new ones sound different
I have a cd/cassette/turntable player just revently purchased. And yes, they still have different speeds.

I have a bunch of old albums and just threw out my old turntable because it didn't sound all that great. I should buy a new one but I'm afraid that maybe it wasn't the turntable but the albums that sounded so bad!
I still have a bunch of records too. Can't seem to get rid of them.

I just tossed ALL of our old cassettes. I am donating a ton of CD's to goodwill. Everything I listen to is on electronic devices now.
It is tempting to get a turntable. When Roger and I met, we met at CBS. Remember the Columbia House thing where you got albums mailed to you through the mail. North Fruitridge Avenue was part of the address...I want to say 1400 North Fruitridge.
I ran presses that made the albums...1600 in an 8 hour shift, and sometimes could squeeze in 1800 if I had no down time on either press.
Forgot to say we also had some rows of automatic presses and one person kept a whole row of them running. I don't even know if I know how many they made in a night. Probably about the same as a person, cause if you set the presses too fast, the albums would not pass quality control.
I still have some old tapes ect. But don't ever play them. Ann, hope you have a great day.

Sandee, I have a big box full of them but nothing to play them on so I don't know why I keep them.
Lin I found some cassettes that had to be thrown out. They were store in a crawl space and had gotten ruined

I have a turn table and I would have to run upstairs to see about the speeds...and I have all my records and albums from the 70s!!
I seem to recall the "trend" is back, the young 'uns, wanna be retro or something or other...
We have a record player and old vinyl records. About the only ones we play are the Christmas ones, but we're not about to give the other ones away.
I know, I was so surprised when I bought a CD on Amazon and it was also offered in vinyl. Of course when they complain about things today like the landfills filled with soda cans, etc. you think that they should have never stopped the original recycled glass bottles!!!
