There are no words

Yesterday shortly before the end of my work shift I got word that my sister in laws house was on fire. By the time I got there it was totally gone. Needless to say she is devastated. As of now they don't know what caused the fire. One fireman had said that when they got there flames were coming out the roof and when they looked inside they could see that the entire first floor was gone which told them that the fire started in the basement.

I am at a total loss as to what I can do for her. Please keep her in your thoughts and send prayers to get her through this.

So AWFUL!! I will pray for her tonight. Where is she staying? Will insurance pay for it? I just can't imagine how devastating this would be.

It is truly horrible. And the pain lingers long after as she realizes what she has lost. I know this because both my brother and a good friend of ours lost their houses within months of each other.

She needs shelter and incidentals right now. The basics to survive. Sometimes the Red Cross will help with immediate shelter and gift cards for incidentals. From there, gift cards or home-cooked meals will help.

I will pray for her. I am really sorry to see this happen.

It's all the little things that are lost that must be the worst. You can never recover photos etc can you. Poor thing.

How horrible. I am praying they have insurance that begins to cover some of the material costs--although there is no money that can buy the memories that are lost. God bless her and her family. xo Diana

lots of words run through me but really the only thing to say is "no words adequately sum up..." I'm guessing temporary shelter and the basics have been provided

I am so sorry Ann. I hope you will give us more news of her situation as it goes along. We had a fire on a much smaller scale and I know how devastating even that was. I have dozens of questions like all of us, will wait to hear from you.
