Here I am

I'm sorry for my lack of attention to my blog lately. I have no excuse really other than work has just been kicking my butt. I have been so tired when I get home I don't want to do anything. Friday I woke up feeling tired and I was dragging through my day. There was a couple bright spots though. While I was there my favorite little girl in the whole world came in with her mom. Seeing Presley is always a bright spot. Then later, Presley's mom brought me over some dinner.

I love lasagna. Especially when it's someone else who makes it and brings me some.

Today for Mother's Day I'll be working an extra hour. We are already short staffed and one person has complained about not "signing up" for all the extra hours he's been given lately. Really? None of us signed up for extra work but we do it because that's what we get paid for. Any way, now I have 2 days a week that I not only do my job but also am in charge of the office and the store in general.

Hope everyone has a Happy Mother's Day.

The dinner looks delicious! So now I am wondering, are you old enough to retire? Can you retire when you gat to the age, will you have a pension?

You work your patootie off at the store...no wonder you're tired when you get home. But your delivery of lasagna & seeing your granddaughter is always worth it. Happy mom's day!

Sounds like all work and no play at the moment, no wonder you are tired.
As for not posting, take a break.
I recently didn't post for a month and felt better for it.
That looks like the best lasagne Ive ever seen, hope it tasted as good.

I'm glad you were able to see your granddaughter and that your family brought you food. I am sorry that work is going so crazy. I would think that people would be thankful for the work, but I understand not wanting extra work as well.

Lasagna is one of my favs too but a PITA to make so I haven't had it in years! (I'm so lazy!) And that's what you get for being so good at your job and everyone else's - but the extra money - perhaps a real vacation can be on the agenda later in the year.

I appreciate YOU and all of the store workers who are making sure we all have what we need. I know it is hard and you are all working extra hours, but we do appreciate it! We do what we have to in times like these and I hope that you can rest sometime soon. I'm glad you have Presley and the rest of the family to look forward to. That helps, I'm sure.

I am happy to see a post from you but sorry you have had to work so hard. Seems those that ARE working are putting in lots of extra time and then there are those that don't have a job to go to...doesn't seem there is a happy medium.
So glad the kids came by-that always produces joy-especially when they bring food! lol xo Diana

Hoping that you are able to give yourself sometime even with that extra hour....kick back and do nothing. Take care of you.

This reminds me that I haven't made lasagna in quite a while. It looks so good! When I do my shopping list maybe I'll get the ingredients for it.

Sorry your work load is so heavy and no wonder you are tired. Thank goodness for visits from your little granddaughter. How sweet to have lasagna made and ready to eat - a real blessing at the end of a long day.
