Lilac

I have always loved lilacs. My dad was an excellent gardener and we had huge lilac and snowball bushes planted along the property line of our yard. I have tried numerous times to plant them and they never live. My neighbor has one so I took pictures of that.

This one has a lovely deep color. We have one outside our kitchen door, it is pale lavender.

I love lilacs especially their glorious smell. My mother actually grew a lilac bush/tree from a single branch - it took years to grow into a blossoming bush but blossom and grow it did.

So pretty!! I remember we did have lilacs around our house when I lived in Pennsylvania all those years ago. I remember how lovely they smelled!

So pretty. My dad had a beautiful bush in our back yard growing up. We don't have the here in CA unless they have some up north. The last time I saw one was a few years ago in Utah.

Very pretty. I wish you lived closer because I have shoots coming up all over the place. I dig them up for friends and prune them down to keep them from taking over.
