day one of a 4-day weekend

A while back they had pamphlets sitting at the registers at work. I told Amanda that I wanted to go here and we chose my long weekend to go. Well it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be it was still a fun time spending the day with my daughter. We stopped for lunch at Lou's Country KitchenIt didn't look like much from the outside but the chicken sandwich and onion rings that I had were delicious. We went to the Whistle Stop Antique Mall which was in my opinion a big disappointment. I was expecting multiple floors and it was just one great big giant room. We did see some creepy looking Easter decorationsAnd finally just a few pictures from around town

Creepy is the perfect word to describe these. Some look retro as well, but rather frightening.

you nailed the decor with the word creepy. yikes. those would scare kids. I like the look of your downtown, but it looks like not many were there shopping. maybe they need to have a sidewalk sale. that is what they do in the Art Village, once a week Saturday and they bring out thinigs to the side walk and lots of people go to wander. of course we have more people in our neighborhood than in your entire town. lots of parking available. with all the online shopping its hard for mom/pop stores to compete

If that's your downtown, I'm in love! How quaint!! And historical!
Glad you enjoyed the day with Amanda!

The indoors looks more like a flea market.

Sounds like day one was pretty awesome. Your downtown is so cute! Ever since I was a kid I've always loved visiting downtown areas. I love the architecture. Have a great day!

Those were creepy Easter decorations. Yikes. The best part is you spent the day with your daughter. Your lunch sounded great too.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

Yep, creepy but a great time out with your daughter. Funny how the advertising doesn't live up to the real thing, but that's often the way. It's the same with professional food photos. When you actually buy some, nope it certainly doesn't look like the picture, lol!
