I took a cake order recently and the customer asked that it say Happy 45th birthday Dad. I repeated the wording back to her and she laughed and said yeah, he's really old. This of course made me laugh and I had to say to her oh please don't say that, I'm 62. We both got a chuckle out of it.
Anyway, when I made the cake I decided to make the 45 a bit larger than the rest of the writing.

62 is not old compared to me. I told some friends I have achieved old and one of them asked me how she will know when she is old. I said you will know when it hits you. We laughed.
I like it. Hey, at least he'll know they remember how old he is.
Love the cake...and I think when one feels old then, they are old...no thought of changing the way they are living life, in the now.
Exercise...diet...I know, but these are so important.

I can tell you that every 10 years after I turned 40 make me feel older and older and I am feeling every 79 years of life. I would love to be 45. I remember thinking my mother was so old when we moved to KY in 1953 and looking back she was 29 years old... I was 9.. ha ha
Laughing at Sandra's old mom! I think that was a great idea to make the 45 bigger.
One of my doctors was reading a candidates CV the other day and he said 'wow she's old'. She was born in 1977. lol Love that you made the 45 bigger.

It's a beautiful cake, and making the 45 bigger makes it more balanced and attractive. I'm 84 and proud of it. Wouldn't go back in time even if I had a choice.

I like how you enlarged the letters. I wonder if they put 45 candles on the top - they would need a fire extinguisher nearby ;)
The cake looks great. I'm not crazy about them wanting 45 on the cake but he may have loved it!
