the most important meal of the day

For the longest time I didn't eat breakfast unless someone cooked it for me. Back when I first decided I needed to take some weight off and change my eating habits, adding breakfast was one of the things I did. If I'm home I'll make myself eggs but at work it's a little different. I don't want to have the same thing every day so my choices are
Oatmeal
Yogurt
Homemade McGriddle muffins
And most recently I added French toast sticks

I can pop those in the microwave for 45 seconds and there's my breakfast.

If you're curious about the McGriddle muffins, I found the recipe online somewhere but can't remember where.
1pound sausage browned
2 cups pancake mix
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 cup shredded cheddar

preheat over to 400. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full and bake for 12-15 minutes.

When I make these I take one the next day and put the rest in the freezer. When I'm ready for another one I pull it out the night before, pop it in a baggie and then microwave at work for about 45 seconds. I don't have a picture of these as I never thought to take one. They are pretty yummy though.

So where am I on the weight loss? Well I managed to lose 24 pounds but have been stuck for months now. My original goal was to lose 10 more pounds but I just can't seem to get any lower.

The recipe looks good! I have lost 100 pounds twice. For me, I lose a lot at the beginning of a diet, but then after awhile I guess my body gets used to it, because I never lose as much as I did in the beginning, and it gets progressively harder.

Those sound yummy but I gain just looking at them!lol

Breakfast: eggs or a meat or both
Lunch: a meat
Afternoon snack: a meat or cheese
All day Drink: Soda Stream fizzy water with lemon
Walk at least 4000 steps a day

I've started losing again...so slow...but at least I'm finally losing!
Down 10 pounds now.
If I'd stop cheating with carbs, it would go faster.
Oh, and I only use Monk Fruit as a sweetener...taste just like real sugar! NO aftertaste...and its natural.
hugs

24 pounds is a lot to loose. Good job!! I struggle with what to eat in the mornings also. I think it's because I go to work SO early. Your Mcgriddle sounds delish. I do love a homemade egg Mcmuffin a lot. Maybe I need to make some up to bring in the mornings.

Breakfast used to be my favorite meal to eat out...now we seldom go eat. I have been to a restaurant 3 times since being here...I do bring home things or have pizza delivered occasionally.

Good morning! Coming to you talking to my desktop I'm just telling you that in case there's some funky looking words. All of your breakfast sounds delicious except the oatmeal but I have finally found a way to put oatmeal in my diet I toast it by laying it on a pan and putting it in the broiler and then I sprinkle it on top of my peanut butter toast it's like eating nuts on my peanut butter and my toast is a slice of French bread. I would eat all that you eat except the oatmeal but I can't eat any of that one the pancake thing has sugar in it and I can't eat sugar and when I try the recipes using my ok gluten free flour they taste horrible. How do you make the french toast

Please don't get discouraged about the weight loss. Plateaus are natural, unfortunately. If you can just keep those pounds off you'll be doing great. That's hard for most people to do. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Also meant to say that I think it's great you lost 24 lbs. It is so hard and I need to reposition my head space and try to start losing again.
