Don't move a muscle

Apparently at 3:30 a.m. I made a movement that indicated that I was awake and ready to start the day. That's the time that Duke jumped up on me, wagging his tail, letting me know that he was ready to go outside for his morning routine.
Already awake after letting him out it seemed like a good time to get some coffee and catch up on emails and blog reading. By 7:30 I was ready to get started on the crafting and I spent the next eight hours working on projects.
What do you suppose Mr. Duke was doing while I was busy as a bee?

That's right he hit the lounge chair, with a pillow no less, and napped.

Duke, you are one smart boy! Good job getting your mom up early so she could sit with you outside all day! Hope you got a nap in in case you have to get her up early tomorrow morning too! :)

For a second there I was trying to figure out how Duke got so dirty. Then I realized that you were playing with the photos!
Well, unless of course he was playing in the dirt:)

3:30???! A.M.???! No wonder you get around the blogroll so well each day!! Gees, that is early.

No wonder Duke was pooped!!

I love the second picture! So let me get this straight. Duke woke you at 3:30, then after you were all awake, he went back to bed, leaving you up!! Well, at least that's one way to get a lot done!

I would have been napping too.

Sensible boy, Dukey, not interrupting mom working! ;) xx

I wish the cats were as calm as Duke. They race around the apartment at 2 am and make it hard to sleep! Four kits! Sara Cat growls at them, but it doesn't seem to help.
Bad kitties!

I think you are just fine Duke.
Hugs,
Anna

Duke, you are sure doing a great job getting Mom motivated to get those crafts done. Good boy getting her up so early. Can't wait to see all the final results.

The best supervisors don't have to do much supervising. Although, I would think that much more due diligence would be required for you.

Nice to get you up so he can do his duty and go back to what most dogs do best.Mine is probably on my pillow now.

I think Duke must be having secret messaging sessions with my dear little cat for this is exactly what she has done to me. Jump on top of me awakening yours truly from a beautiful dream to let me know that it really was time for her to go for a stroll outside. I'm thinking - do they make cat clocks???? She clearly needs one!! .... one tired Polly here!

Funny getting up early is no problem for Duke because he can nap.

That sounds like our two cats. They will wake us up at around 4:30 and won't stop bouncing around our bed and getting into things until they are fed AND, once we are awake, they proceed to go to sleep.

Isn't that so frustraing sometimes? Louis acts as if he's got somewhere to go and wakes up with the birds. I've got to go to work, and he heads back to bed. Grrr...
