Going back

Every now and then it's nice to look back.
2010 - Duke was looking a little on the shaggy side this time last year. We seemed to be doing a lot of hanging out in the yard.

2009 - We sure did take a lot of pictures of pretty weeds. I always loved these things when I was a kid and we had a ton  of them growing in the empty lot next to our house. That is until someone built there. I don't see many of these any more.

2008 - We still had our cat Pringle then. He got his name because when I brought him home the first thing he ate was a Pringle potato chip.
I would go back further but that would require some effort on my part and effort isn't in my vocabulary tonight.

But Duke is still a cutie pie with all that hair. Just saying.

You know weeds aren't weeds if you think they are pretty. That's my two cents.

I love the cats name. That was some good thinking.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

I do beg your pardon, they are wildflowers, not weeds! We have some that look just like that, but are blue. Very cute pictures!

Duke is Duke no matter what. Pringle looks content. I agree with Ginny that the flowering weed is a Wildflower and a pretty one!
Hey...I just finished reading A Dog's Purpose by W.Bruce Cameron...and thought about you and Duke. Have you read it?

I didn't read your blog when you had a kitty! I like his name. He was handsome.

That can't be a weed - it has to be some particular flower. If it is a weed I wanna know what kind 'cause then I could grow it - I can't grow plants but I bet I would be a whiz with weeds!

And what a pretty kitty! And a great photo - you sure do have the photographer gene!

Love the name Pringle - how cute! Glad to know I'm not the only one that takes pictures of weeds (sometimes they're pretty cool looking *grin*).

duke, tell mommy we are glad she took the effort to find your pretty face from the past and also the flowers. i call it archive diving and sometimes i find things i forgot I took.
I like the name pringle, my first dog at age 8, me not the dog, was a rescue from the pound, now this was way back in 1952 so way before you and mommy's times, and the first thing he did when we got home was get in syrup. his name forever was Sticky Baby

Both Duke and Pringle have the same far away look...

That can't be Pringle. That looks like Stallone, a stray that I attempted to care for when I was in school. He was arrogant, bossy, and always took what he wanted. My skin!

Hi Ann, Isn't it amazing how things change from one year to the next???? And we humans don't like change---yet we go through it all of the time...

I also enjoy looking back at my children photos. Amazing how they grew so fast.
