A new day

What a difference a day can make. You saw what Sunday was like and today I'll tell you that Monday was nothing like it. It was cold, gray and gloomy. There was a bright side to it though.

I went to Cracker Barrel for lunch to meet up with some very old friends. These were girls that I grew up with in my neighborhood. Two are sisters that I saw a couple years ago and one more recently at the beginning of the year. The third one I hadn't seen since I married my first husband in 1982.

We had a nice lunch then I came home and napped for the rest of the afternoon.

What fun! I have actually never seen a Cracker Barrel parking lot that is not full of cars. They are wildly popular here. They must have been closed for this picture.

There were actually a lot of cars in the parking lot but the only spaces in front of me when I took the picture were the handicapped spaces and they were not in use except for that one car.

I found that it depends on which one I go to. There are two that I can choose from. The one must have horrible cooks in their kitchen but the other one is pretty good

Here in TN we don't normally wait a whole day....there are those times we have weather that equals Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter in one day! haha....great meeting up with old friends. I love that I have good friends that I grew up with and then the newer ones. Friends are a treasure.

These three are the oldest friends I have. I didn't keep in touch with anyone I went to high school with and other than friends at work, I'm pretty much a loner. I'm so pitiful...lol

Glad you had a good day with old friends! I haven't kept in contact with friends from way back then so it's good you still keep in touch.

what does Cracker Barrel serve? It's not a brand chain we have in New Zealand...

They have a little bit of everything. I kind of think of their menu as good old home cooking.
