Spring is here

Or at least it sure feels like it. Saturday the temperature was somewhere around 60 and Sunday it reached 70. I took a little walk around the yard and see that I have a lot of work to do out there. Too bad I haven't taken care of all the things I need to do inside yet.

There are a ton of leaves left over out there from last fall but at least there are some flowers coming up through them to welcome spring.

There's also lots of sticks laying all over the yard and dead things sticking up out of the ground

The deck is going to need to be stained again this year as well as fixing that railing and then doing something about where the pool used to sit. Oh well, all in good time.
I liked the way this shadow of the tree looked. Won't be long before there will be leaves on those branches.

I do like that big tree shadow. It spreads out all across the lawn.

I'm tired just thinking of all the things you have to do. Take some time out for fun too.

Our Bijou garden is in a state this year, we haven't had the will to go and tidy. Normally its all done by now but Tom can't do much now. Oh well, the birds will love the messy bushes. lol

you already know my favorite is the shadow. super shot shadow and great for Halloween. oh no on all the work out there, added to the to do list inside. enjoy your day off, hope it is beautiful out side. we woke up to humid 72 degrees and climbing fast to high 80's. ugh. summer heat

The tree shadow is a great photo! May I suggest that you not be in too much of a hurry to clean up the debris in the flower beds since some of our beneficial insects could be taking refuge in the debris. ^^

Lots o' work ahead! That's what Bud & I have been doing. Yard work. Of course we don't have snow to scoop, but we DO have to mow lawn year 'round.

It is great to have things popping out of the ground and the leaves. Spring is my favorite time. Have a fine day Ann.

There is always a ton of things that need doing when spring rolls around. About ever six months it's time to do the deep cleaning. We're doing the same here.

Have a fabulous day and day off, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Yard work and repairs are never-ending, aren't they? I've got a list too...and few are just hard work and others are expensive and require someone to come out. I hate the expensive ones. :(

Love it if spring is here to stay, looking at snow Saturday. On my last post look at the plate of food and that is what was lunch: the easter bunny in dill sauce, raised bohemian dumpling slices and sweet and sour cabbage smothered in rabbit gravy

We had a good rain yesterday and when I went out I noticed that the leaves on the tree..just from the rain was popping out all over. And then again, with the rain it was all so GREEN. We were doing 79 one day over the weekend but cool today, then again, had more rain this morning. Noticed Dogwood in bloom also today. YES....always something to do when you own a home. Leaves, sticks, and weeds..I need to get the yard cut. I need to paint wood that I had repaired on the house in Nov., deck needs cleaning with house wash and also, I need to get out there and set up my furniture.

Wow, lots of comments before me this time. I understand how you feel about having to do some spring yard cleaning. Every year mine looks like a hurricane hit it. I have several big trees and they're constantly raining down leaves and branches of every size.

I like your tree shadow, it seems to have a personality, like it is reaching out.

when I got home last week there was a big autumnal tone to the weather...today it's like summer, not hot and sizzling but definitely a brilliant sunny day (NZ)

Hi yourself. We'll be seeing green on those trees before we know it.

Ann said...

well hope it is soon for you. I'm loving it

I keep telling myself I'm going to take care of it in the fall and each year it gets too cold and I don't want to go out and do it

Ann said...

That's what I thought too.

The weather is so unpredictable. It can go from summer in the morning to winter in the evening.
