Progress report - Day 1

I guess I can't put this off any longer. It's time for my daily progress report
My additions since yesterday are
One of these (not entirely happy with it) I don't know what's all over it in the picture but I can't see it on the real thing.

3 of these (not entirely happy with these either)

You may think I didn't do too bad for just one day. If you knew the whole truth you would change your mind. I had all the flowers done and the cans covered, I just had to put them together.
After I got these done I did a little experiment and came up with this
The idea really came from Cheryl who did a black and a white scottie dog a while back.

So I'm blaming my progress, or lack there of on the grumpy mood that I put myself in today. Tomorrow morning Wade will go off to work, the house will be quiet and I'm going to get busy.

You are way to hard on yourself.

And that dog looks like your little one!

I think you made great progress today! Of course I love the little Duke!

Hi Ann, your problem is that you expect WAY too much of yourself. You have SO much talent... Just relax and enjoy it... IF it is a burden and you are never happy with what you do, this will not work for you... Happiness and enjoyment are much more important...

Love the little doggie.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love the little duck with the bullrush ....

Do tell though, are the sunflowers resting in beads, if not, what magical method are you using?

By the time I scrolled down to the dog, I think I must have felt peckish for I kept thinking this would be wonderful made in rolled marzipan!

Just a little extra note for those of your readers in the UK - I actually found quilling materials in 'The Works' bookshop. (These, I believe are situated throughout Britain and so far are the only place that I have seen quilling material available for purchasing.)

I have to agree with Betsy. Have fun and let loose. I really like the top one--is it a can?
And your photos are so awesome I can see the magnets and cards (are you doing cards of your photos?) doing well.

And we all have those days where we just don't get it done. Thank goodness tomorrow is a new day!

That's a GREAT start Ann - and, believe me, you'll achieve wonders without hubby under your feet!

Have you considered having your quilled Scottie watering your quilled flowers? It might open up a new market for your products?

Ann, those flowers in the tins are ADORABLE!! These'll sell like hot cakes!

they all look good to me. I think my favorite is the flowers in the cans. the dog looks like duke. you will do better today with your alone time. it is hard to do things when the men from mars are home. have fun and I agree you are to hard on yourself. we are all our own worse critics.

Please, don't be too hard on yourself (this coming from someone who does the same thing), I think they look fantastic!! I don't see anything wrong and I'm sure that those who will be buying them won't either. I would also include the scottie dog you made. Just put it out there for giggles...guess what? I bet someone would buy it.

OH. MY. HEAVENS! You've made a westie pup :) I adore it. Now have you got an Etsy shop or anything? Because I adore that magnet of Duke, AND that westie pup you've quilled. Hmmmm....I wish I was closer to this craft show of sorts you are going to.

And I know you have lots to do, but remember...this is also your vacation :) You can't work THAT hard!

Look another Duke. That is so cute. I really like the little bluebird too. At least he has a blue head. We think it all looks great. Take care.
