Snow overload

For a change the weather man was actually right. We did get hit with snow and lots of it. It started Friday. I got home from work and thankfully it was no problem getting in the driveway.
Saturday morning it was still snowing and it kept up all day. My deck steps are under there somewhere.

I had to go out and shovel a spot for Gibbs.

I took a little video of my neighbor across the street snowblowing his driveway. I should have gotten one of my next door neighbor snowblowing mine.

I didn't feel well at work on Friday. I've got a cold or something so I made the choice to call off for today. Calling off is something I never do. The last time was 2018 when Wade passed away. Feeling the way I do and with this weather I decided it just wasn't worth it.

good morning, and I do hope you are not getting the flu like stuff going around. My friend Jackie, her hubby and daughter and her spouse are all sick with it. God bless your neighbor for blowing your drive. yikes on your steps... I bet Gibbs did a quick job and back inside.

I dont blame you for staying home ...it is best for everyone if you are getting sick! I hope you can stay warm, and rest as much as you can. That is a lot of snow!

Would you even have been able to get to work in that snow? It is way outside my experience!

I'm so glad you decided to stay home. Sometimes we just have to do it. I hope you're feeling better soon and that you don't have whatever it was that we did. It was brutal. Enjoy your day. Stay warm and rest.

I am so glad you called in sick, and now was the perfect day to do it. But so sorry you are not feeling well! Let us know how you are in your next post! I am also glad that your neighbors look out for you in bad weather. That is a large snow blower, and it looks like it is having trouble getting through the snow! We only got three inches, but haven't been out in about a week because of ice. When can you retire, and will you as soon as you can?

That is a lot of snow. I say it is best to call in if you are sick. Companies should realize that people need days off due to illness. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I'm glad you stayed home too. That's a whole lot of snow, more than we got. You have a sweet neighbor to do that for you. I enjoyed the video of the one across the street. Glad you're feeling better. I read your newer comment to say you were. Thumb's up on that and calling in!

I think you got a little more snow then we did. We had about 5-7 inches but I didn't measure it. It's still around but the roads are clear since it finally warmed up past freezing. In fact next week we are supposed to have some temps in the 50's! Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well.
