So it's out with the old phone and in with the new.
Now if I could just figure out how to work this darn thing.
Since I'm on the subject of upgrading I want to direct your attention to my side bar. I've been working on adding some of my favorite blogs over there. The list, of course, is not complete yet. I've broken it up into categories. Some of you easily fell into just one, while others I like for more than one reason. That brought about the category of darn good people. If you don't see your blog listed there, it's not that I don't like your blog. I've been going in alphabetical order from my google reader and haven't made it through the list yet. You could of course point out to me that you seem to be missing and it may get me motivated to work on that a little faster.
The other upgrade that I think is in order is my blog name and profile. Originally this blog was supposed to be about photography, photo editing and digital scrapbooking. It doesn't seem to fit that anymore other than the pictures I post. I need a new name but I just can't settle on anything. I've never been good at naming things. I also need to rewrite my profile since what's written there really does not apply anymore. Although how many people really read that anyway. Oh well, maybe I'll get around to doing that some day.

We have Verizon too. I really like Verizon. I wouldn't know how to do anything with the phone thought since it's hubby's phone.

Sounds like a good upgrade on the phone to me! We need to do that too but haven't taken the time to get it done. I like how your side bar looks and we made it in one of the lists!

Lucky you with a new phone, I don't even use mine much really...its usually lost or uncharged.
I really am not a phone talker ... I can text with the best of them though.
I hate getting new cell phones. I never use mine anymore and I really must find out how to turn off the "text" feature. We have the most basic of plans and I hate when someone sends me a text - cost me 20 cents! for nada...

My wife just upgraded her phone about a month ago. Nothing fancy (no data), but it gets the job done.
I need to update my meta description for my site. For over a year and a half it was mostly devoted to fitness and weight loss, but since I really can't think of anything else to say on the subject, I now post on just about anything.

I must be weird because I do look at profiles. Have fun with your phone, if you're like me it will probably take you a bit to figure out all the cool functions it has.
Maybe after you get a few ideas for renaming your blog, maybe you can put up a poll, let the people decide! LOL

Ann- Thanks for the link! "Scrap" still works, because it's scraps of your life, and maybe edit too... always trying to mold ourselves into something better. Maybe just expand the meaning. At any rate, I like what you and Duke write.

Learning to use a new cell phone is the pits. And like the typical woman...I REFUSE TO READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL.

i am due for an upgrade too, but i kind of like my phone and not sure i want to get a different one. it is surprising to me that it is still working, haven't had much luck with cell phones actually lasting the whole contract. lol

I just found out how to retrive messages, having told everybody if you can't get me on land phone I probably don't have my cell on either. I talk more online.last winter i fell down a steep embankment in anice storm in the middle of no where. My phone was in the car.LOL

I upgraded my phone a few months ago. It took me a while to figure it out but now I don't know how I lived without it.
I have never been able to work cell phones. I can call and talk period.
I love your side bar with the blogs. I have been working on mine too but it isn't nearly as good as yours. Great job.

out on the prairie I keep my phone in my purse and usually don't hear it ring. most times it is in close proximity to me though. I was glad I had one a couple years ago when I hit a deer on the way to work

Nowadays most of mobile phone are switched into touch-screen interface. You will get used to it sooner or later.
Audrey I hardly use my phone. The only time it usually gets used is when my daughter calls or texts.

Ann, when it comes to cell phones, I'm a dinosaur. I'm not a phone person so I have one of those pay as you go tracfones which is basically just a phone. It is not internet capable which is a good thing or I'd be on the phone all the time :D
I like the new look of your blog and I also still like the name. I know how things change and mine has gone from writing to photography though the names sort of combines both which is good, I don't have to change it. I like what you've done with the place :)
poetic shutterbug I don't get much use out of my phone, seems like a waste at times. Yes the blog has evolved in to something much different than what I had originally intended but I suppose the name can still fit just with different meaning.
