hanging on the deck

Yeah, it's Friday. For the next two days I can do whatever I want. I guess it's time for me to get back in the swing of things too. My cutting back really wasn't what I was expecting. I still did a lot of reading and didn't cut back too much on my commenting. I still managed to get a post up every day. I also got in some crafting time. I think the crafting is what I've been missing the most. I've always felt lost if I didn't have at least one project going and I got away from it. I'm finding my way back to it though and trying to fit it in more and more.
So now you are probably expecting to see some pictures of the fabulous things I've been working on right? Well, you're not going to see them because today I'm going to show you who (or maybe I should say what) was hanging out on the deck with me the other day. (Grace, you may not want to look at this)

  4. This is an excellent picture. I like closeup bug pictures. These creatures may seem ugly most of the time, but closeups show their real beauty.

  20. Ratty I like closeup pictures more than actually being close up to the bugs. The photos do show details that you would otherwise miss, guess that's why I love taking them.

  24. Wow, the body looks metallic - like a coat of armor! Fab pictures. I love sleeping with the windows open on summer nights so I can hear the crickets and cicadas as I fall asleep. Lately it's been too hot to do that though.

  25. Ann thanks. I always keep the windows open at night and since I have a constant ringing in my ears anyway I barely hear any of the sounds from outside
