While Amanda was here visiting she decided to take Duke for a little walk which of course made Duke a very happy dog.
They made Duke's ritual stop at that tree and Amanda found something.
I looked at this picture and just had to smile. She may be all grown up now but she still brings her mom treasures.
Yep, I'm still smiling over this one. Stuff like this makes being a mom all worth it.

Looks like a robins nest. Its funny how they still remind us when they were young and always listened to you.It is nice to have those little reminders.
Woof! Woof! COOL ... but it means that the birds nest fell down ... just hope after they had their little birdies. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Look how perfect it is!! Now that is a find! Good Amanda. Good Duke. :)
That nest is big and in great shape! Hope the birdies made it out before it fell out of the tree.
Duke looks so happy in the photo of him coming towards you!
Duke sure is a contented fella.. lookit the face when he is coming to you :)
that's a pretty neat nest.. hope them birdies already left the nest before it fell.
Yep sometimes they just keep bringing home stuff long after they are grown. How fun, and it making you smile was a double plus.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)
Awww...a nest from the little girl who grew up and left the nest.
whatcha gonna put in this one :)
It wasn't till I read Roschelle's comment that it dawned on me that you will probably make a charming art work out of that nest! (In the second pic I thought he had found a turtle! That would have been cool!)
I am all smiles since I LOVE bird nests. You are lucky to have a daughter and furbaby who find such fine gifts from Nature!:-D)
Bird's nest! That is one cool thing! :D
That really is a perfect bird's nest. Kids are kind of like cats, they are always bringing you treasures and making you smile. That is a great picture of Amanda and Duke coming towards you. Hope you have a super fine day.
Duke looks so happy!
They may grow in size but they are still our little girls.
Duke does look like a happy dog!
Hmm, the daughter who flew the coop holding an empty nest... Yep, there's a connection there somewhere--I just know it! No, don't help me. I'll get it............................................................................................................................. Okay, could you ask Duke to give me a hint?
I think it's so important that we all keep a little bit of our 'youth' inside us ~ no matter our age! :) Adorable nest!
Happy Day!
xo Catherine
Yes they do grow up. But they will always be your baby.
What a lovely little nest! I'm sure you have plenty of ideas what to do with it :)
This reminds me of when I used to bring back stuff for my mom too.
Nice nest! Fun day with Amanda.
Awwww, Mom! Your girl knows you and what you will love!
Ah, it's the little things that mean the most.
What a simply perfect nest...I am always amazed at how birds manage to make them so perfect....will you save it and make a bonnet next Easter??? I think Duke would look fine in a bonnet!!!
