Can't leave well enough alone

No matter how hard I try not to, I just have to alter pictures. Good or bad, no picture on my computer is safe from my experimentation. Why do I feel the need to do this all the time? Why can't I just leave well enough alone? Why can't I write down the process so I can duplicate it? Why? Why?
This is why.
Now all I want to know if why I didn't notice that stupid black line across the top before I uploaded the picture.

Since I have no clue how to work photo editing software, this is a problem I don't have! I don't even see a black line across the top! Since you are so good at editing stuff, you can't stop now!

Since I started playing around with PSE, I find that every photo needs some "adjusting". Ugh. And it takes HOURS of my time. Now, I try to limit what photos I play with because I'm losing days with photoshop!!!

My photo editing abilities is limited to resizing and throwing my signature on the bottom. I would like to learn how to do more, but unless I win the lottery, I won't be getting Photoshop anytime soon. As for the writing stuff down, I have the same problem when I'm cooking. I never write anything down, so when I do create something worth eating, I have no way of redoing it. It drives my wife nuts :)

I don't see a black line!! Would love to learn how to do editing. Maybe this summer I can. Is that how you get your name on the pictures? Your work is so beautiful!

If you hadn't mentioned the line - I never would have noticed it! Sounds like you might have a touch of OCD when it comes to photo editing :) I think we all have something like that in our lives too.

At first look I did not notice the black line until you said it. :)

Still looks nice to me though. Have a great start of your week! :D

I don't see a line and you are very creative with your editing and photos? I don't write down what I do either. You can create "actions" where you click the action and it will redo some editing process but I have no idea how to create or use those so I have my standard editing I do and then the creative stuff is all play and different each time I think. LOL!

I have a habit of tweaking every single picture I intend to use for something or another, too. Must be our need to make things either perfect in our eyes or the need to make things original as our own :)

The only thing I do to my photos is resize and compress for the web. Other than that, what I take is what you get.

Ann, you are not alone on the photo editing. My whole photoscapes unleashed series was created because of my obsession :D I like the photo but I don't see any black line - then again, I haven't had my morning coffee yet :D

Beaded tail I'll probably never stop. Just another one of my addictions.

Lin believe me I've lost LOTS of days

tahtimbo there are free programs available to download online that have many of the same features as photoshop elements. Paint net and Gimp are two that come to mind.

Gayle Yes, I came up with the logo in pse and saved the file then just add it to each picture I post

Junezach I guess I should have kept that black line to myself huh?...lol

fullet thank you. I do have fun with the experimenting and creating and do a lot of praying for the improving :)

FishHawk, I've always considered my editing to be a kind of therapy. So now I need therapy for my therapy?

DKMiller not all actions are compatible with photoshop elements and you can't create your own in that program. I've downloaded a few but I think I just prefer to play. They do turn out different each time but then again the pictures are all different too so it's hard to get the same look sometimes

alterity button jewelry you would think the fact that the picture was my own original photo but NOOOOOOO....lol I'm going with the need to create as my excuse

urban cowboy I wish all my photos were good enough to do that with but I never seem to think they are so I play

Grace. Maybe it's all in my head....lol

Poetic shutterbug the editing certainly is entertaining. Like I told Grace, maybe the line is just my imagination

allotments4you well I'll just pretend I can't see it then too and go with the cool photo :)

I don't see a black line either, just a beautifully edited photo. I love what you did with the background. I wish I was half as creative and talented as you.

Leeuna leave it to me to point out the flaws that no one can see but me...lol

I love it. I think I would get lost in another universe if I had photoshop! You do such a great job with your edits you can't stop!
