Happy Weekend

I filled my weekend with things that make me happy.

Some of those things were:
a little bit of crocheting

I hung my new curtains

I made myself a yummy cinnamon swirl coffee cake

and of course a little quality time with Duke

Looks like your weekend had everything. Your first two shots are so artistic, very nice!

I am glad you had a great weekend! :) Duke is so stinkin cute!

Oh, that Duke....he is just sooo cute!

I'm glad you had a nice weekend. I worked. :( We are having a big conference this week and I made the gift bags. And while that doesn't sound too hard, it was a TON of detail work and running around. I'm sort of crabby that I didn't do what I wanted to. :(

Glad you enjoyed your weekend and your quality time with Duke! I ran lots of errands and did things around here that get put off during the week and am ready to start my weekend only to find out it's about over. :(

Sounds like a good weekend Ann. Now I feel like coffee cake. It would go good with my morning coffee. But I think the best thing you did was quality time with Duke.

Ive been away for awhile and I've sure missed Duke. He is sweeter than the coffee cake, although it does look yummy too. Glad you had a good weekend. :)

Oh, that sounds like a perfect weekend to me! I just love your Duke and I bet he enjoyed his QT with you - my Gizzy always does with me! I think to myself that I have to go out walking with my boy every day to give him something to dream about. You see, he's getting on in years and is sleeping a lot these days, but after a nice long walk, he enjoys a good, long nap LOL

Have a great day!

Ginny, and this was just part of it, I had a few other happy things too but didn't want to over do it here...lol

Tanyia thanks, me too :)

Lin that stinks when you have to work on the weekends no matter what it is

beaded tail when you do the running errands thing on the weekend it makes it fly by way too fast. If I have a bunch to do I try to get them done as early as possible on Saturday morning

Jean the coffee cake was very good

Jen well come on over I'll cut you a slice and pour you a cup of coffee to wash it down :)

fishhawk I don't know why do you hear Julie Andrews singing in the back of your head? :)

catherine about as perfect as it could be

russ, I've been hungry for that darn coffee cake for over a week and couldn't take it anymore...lol

sandra my mind does seem to come up with a little bit of everything doesn't it...lol Duke was ever so gracious to pose this weekend for me otherwise I would have had more curtain and scissor shots...lol

out on the prairie lucky you, I didn't see any interesting birds over the weekend

bossy betty it was wonderful. Did you get those papers finished? :)

ollie McKays thanks, he is a cutie isn't he

livintheblues ugh, that doesn't sound like fun at all

leeuna glad to see you back, I missed you and so did Duke. Duke is a sweetie but he couldn't cure my craving for coffee cake

donna and it was very delicious too :)

pat thank you

doris sometimes I feel guilty because after working all day Duke just wants to play and I just want to sit. Poor guy sits home alone all day long and is so excited when we get home and we're just too tired to do what he wants us to :)

Doris Sturm said...

Can you get him a play mate? If you have one dog, you might as well have two - I bet he'd enjoy the company because dogs really are pack animals, not like cats who are perfectly fine being alone all day - that's why I have Gizzy! I got him when he was 3 years old - his previous daddy felt bad for leaving him all day due to his busy work schedule and I gave him all the love and attention plus more because I had it to give...think about getting him a friend, won't you? He's adorable~! Life's too short to be lonely. How old is Duke?

Ann said...

Doris, Duke is almost 3. A playmate for his does sound like a good idea. The only thing I would worry about is how well he would accept another animal in the house. He actually is quite jealous of anyone that takes my attention away from him. You should see how he acts sometimes when my husband and I try to have a conversation :)

Sounds like a lovely weekend...mine was a little stressful as we had some work started friday which took lovnger than expected and created lots of mess...I'm not good with mess. But it's all finished now so again I am happy.. :-)

Ann said...

allotments4you it was nice. Having stress on the weekend is not fun. I'm not so good with mess either. I like things all in place, unfortunately things around here aren't usually all in place...lol

Tammy said...

It looks like Duke just wants someone to play with him.

Ann said...

Tammy always...lol
