Butterfly

When the weather is nice, I go sit in my vehicle at lunchtime. I prefer to get out of the building if I can and have a quiet place to sit where no one is going to bother me.
A couple weeks ago as I was walking back in I noticed a butterfly on the side of the building just above the ground. It wasn't moving at all so I pulled out my phone to snap a picture. At first, I wondered if it might be dead.

After I took the picture it fluttered it's wings ever so slightly as if it was waving to me.

The butterfly counts not months but moments and has time enough. -Rabindranath Tagore

Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine. -Jeffrey Glassberg

How neat to capture that flying critter, resting long enough for you to capture it for us all to enjoy.

My first thought on seeing the photo was that it's a moth, but really, I don't know. It sure is raggedy but still pretty.

I love that first quote about butterflies that you posted.

Thanks for sharing this inspiring post.

Have a great Friday and weekend ~ FlowerLady

Butterflies have inspired people I would guess from the beginning of time. Those are great quotes. (This may be Wade's signature signal to you - my father always leaves me 3 pennies 'cause the number 3 and pennies were a thing with him.)

A lot of people take butterflies as a sign from their loved ones in Heaven.

I love your quotes today! And this beautiful photo sure shows that you don't have to be looking UP all the time!

You know, I was thinking the same thing about the butterfly being Wade's signal.

That makes it sound quite sad

No, don't have to look up just have to "look". It's amazing what you can see if you look at things with your eyes wide open

I used to walk on my lunch break. 2.5 miles. But, I was lucky enough to have a desk job so that I could still eat my lunch at my desk when I returned. That walk always helped to clear my head, calm me down to better deal with the a-holes I worked with.
