Yesterday and Tomorrow

Nothing of interest today unless you care to hear about my morning trip to get groceries. It was totally uneventful so it wouldn't take much time to tell you about.
No?
OK, I'll talk about yesterdays trip to Crafts in the Park.
It started at 11:00 and we got there shortly before that. From the picture it doesn't look like much but believe me, there were plenty of booths there.

These were a few of my favorite finds, none of which I purchased. Top left corner is a quilted square and hydrangea flowers were attached to it. She had 2 in different shades and this one was my favorite. Debbie was sure that she could do this and wanted the picture for reference. Bottom left was a table made from a wood shutter. I don't think the picture on the right needs much explanation. I plan on looking in the thrift shops for some old cupcake tins and making a few of these for Christmas. I thought they were adorable

The park was located right on the shore of Lake Erie. We decided to walk the beach back to the parking lot when we were done. I have no idea how much time we spent searching for beach glass but it was fun. We each found a few small pieces.

On the way out of the park I took notice of the large pond and all the geese. Just past the pond there was a pen with peacocks. I had to pull over and get a few pictures.

After that we stopped for lunch. Debbie had won a gift certificate to Compadres. Neither one of us had ever been there and it sounded good. My lunch is the top left picture. Oh my was it delicious. Taquitos Mexicanos. Two fried taquitos-one chicken, one beef-served with lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and tomato. Choice of rice or beans (Yes, I took that straight from the menu)

Well that was yesterday. Very fun day. Tomorrow starts the beginning of a very NOT fun week. It's probably the most busy and frustrating week of the year for me. It's Albion Fair week, which means tons of work. If I don't leave many comments next week it probably means that I came home exhausted and don't have the strength to type. I promise I will catch up with everyone though eventually.

How fun. Good things to do before you start this week from Hades. I can so remember having these weeks. I'm glad I rarely do anymore.

Have a terrific day and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the upcoming week isn't as bad as you thought it was going to be. My very best to Duke. :)

What a fantastic day it looks like you had Ann! That snowman muffin tray is cute. And you know I love the birds. Oh yes ~ grocery shopping ~ a very boring necessity. :(

Hope your week isn't too hectic!

I loved seeing all your pictures from the craft fair! Some of them are so much fun. We live on Lake Michigan and there are two lakefront art fairs we go to every year. One here, which is so/so but we like to go the St. Joe. They have the most talent and the coolest stuff. I wish I could buy, buy, buy!

Good luck this week. Hang in there and hopefully it will go fast!

Looks like you had a wonderful time, not only, browsing, shopping and eating. I just love the Great Lakes, they can hardly be called lakes either, incredibly large and makes me feel as thou you are on the shore if an ocean.

If I ever went to one, I would have to leave the checkbook at home. It would be too tempting to buy stuff.
I have one word to say about your lunch: YUM!!!
Good luck next week and I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

looks like you had tons of fun. The glass you are looking for is rounded from the waves or old leaded glass that turns purple with age?Unusual peacock,I like to be around them .

That looked like such a fun weekend. I love craft fairs and to be located in a lush green area like that is right up my alley. I also like those cupcake tins. Very clever. Your mosaic of Lake Erie is gorgeous. And, last but not least, lunch at Compadres YUM!!!

LDH oh mulch better for sure

beaded tail it was a lot of fun. I hope it goes better too :)

marie believe it or not that's the first Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, unless you count taco bell..lol

Sandee I think this week is probably worse than any holiday week for me. I dread it every year

catherine I fell in love with the snowman tray but I thought she was way over priced on her stuff. But then again I'm cheap.

Sheri I like going but usually after so many you start seeing the same thing. This one had a lot of different stuff. It was a good one

Man over board I did I did :) They do seem too big to be called a lake

Leeuna I wished I could have taken you all along with me, that would have been fun :)

tahtimbo I only take so much money with me and when it's gone it's gone. Otherwise I would go broke

Miawa I know I'll make it I'm just wondering how much wear and tear I'm going to take during the week...lol

Grace I love the beach, I wish I could spend more time just walking along the shore. I think I would be a much nicer person if I could...lol

Roschelle, don't worry, all the food I post here is calorie free.

Vanilla seven I'm sure hoping any way

anny I like being able to get ideas that I can try myself, they may not come out looking as good but I have fun trying

Jen oh I certainly did. wish I had more like it

duni, the weather was even beautiful. started out a little cool but the sun was out and it warmed up fast. The peacock was a real treat

Fishhawk he had fun hanging at home with dad :)

out on the prairie I sure did. We weren't looking for anything in particular. Just seeing if we could find any at all. We didn't fin any leaded glass though

sharkbytes you bet, any time. I love the beach

Anne I'm betting that Duke would have enjoyed it much more than the geese would have

Philippa what made it even better was not having our husbands there. They always give you that look like "Aren't you done yet?"...lol

donna it sure was. I need to start doing that more often when I see something interesting. Just pull over and shoot :)

allotments4you I was surprised that we found any too. just little pieces but better than nothing . I'm pretty sure it's just from the waves and being thrown around against the sand and rocks

poetic shutterbug I've never been to that park before but it was really nice. I would like to go back again just to check out the park. Lunch was delicious, I was glad we went there.
