Mixed bag

Mother nature seems to be a bit confused. First she was giving us wonderful warm weather with temperatures as high as 70. Then she lowered the heat and threw in some rain. Sunday night we had thunder, lightning and wind plus lots of rain.Monday morning it was cold and rainy, then it changed to snow and by late afternoon the sky was blue and the sun was shining.

My poor forsythia had just started blooming. As you can see it needs a bit of a trim but it's too cold out right now for yard work.

Hopefully this time spring will stick. I think rain will probably continue a lot, but I'll be happy as long as it's warm.

We had a perfect weekend weather wise and then Monday it was chilly and then it rained. It's still ugly out this morning. Oh well, spring is trying but winter is hanging on.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

That sounds like the weather we had Saturday...not my favorite kind for sure.

I see lots of rain in the forecast here but then if I wait a day it could change.

Well I used to like it but it's a pain having to keep it trimmed back so the electric company doesn't complain about it blocking the meter.

I like it in the spring when it has all the yellow blossoms on it but the rest of the year not so much

Well I'm glad you at least had good weather for your weekend

The forsythia looks beautiful...I kind of like them when they are a little overgrown...the early blooms are always a welcome sight.

My daughter and son-in-law planted some snapdragons this weekend. The weather was beautiful until it snowed and the temperature dropped. There's a good chance the poor plants got frozen. :(

The forsythia looks so nice and with just a few little snips, I think it is shaped perfectly! Yes, those temps are very up and then very down. A few nights ago we were awakened by the cell phone weather alarm to a hurricane warning. Just heavy rain and wind but by the time it was over, it was almost time to get up. So, we had very little sleep as we faced the new day.

I actually live in a city, known year round for "4 seasons in one day" sometimes only a snippet of a season, but enough to wonder ??? (Auckland, New Zealand) Snow though is never one of the options...

it doesn't happen often but we can get extremes all in one day

I love forsythia bushes. We don't have them in California. I grew up with them in Illinois. Weather is crazy everywhere!!!
