A vintage heirloom

You may recall, last year I bagged up a whole bunch of old Christmas decorations that I no longer use and gifted them to my children calling them vintage family heirlooms. I told them they had to take them home and what they did with them from there was up to them.
Saturday when I was at Amanda's I saw one of those heirlooms displayed in her living room.  Back in the day I used to do needlepoint on plastic canvas. I made a lot of Christmas decorations. This train was one of the things I made.

Mother did that plastic like the train, but never made a train. she did make kleenex boxes, a purse and a lot of other things. the train is so cute and you know it meant a lot to her because she kept it and displayed it..

Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

You are one talented lady, Ann. I'm glad your daughter kept the heirloom and is displaying it. The young people today don't attach sentiment to items.

That's such a lovely train, so nice to see it on display. It looks very festive among her other decorations. Good for Amanda! That would have made me very happy to see it. It's great that she now has something sewn and put together with your own hands, a family heirloom because that's what it is.

Very cute. My Mother-in-law did plastic canvas stuff like that. I like the train a lot and am glad she is displaying it.
