What are we thinking?

We must be crazy but we are in the middle of doing some slight home improvement projects right now. Yes I do realize that Thanksgiving is just two days away. I just hope that I can at least semi clean the mess up before the bird comes out of the oven on Thursday.

Picture my kitchen floor covered with a drop cloth, my dining room with paint cans and assorted paint related items. Then picture my living room with everything pushed into it. Yes it's a huge mess. I may get a little behind on visiting all of you until we get this project finished. So if you don't hear from me for a couple of days you'll know that I'm buried in the mess somewhere.

Well it does seem like an odd time to be painting, but whatever floats your boat. Maybe you could get Duke to help. Just saying.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

About 5 years ago, we did the same thing, but we started just before Halloween. We repainted the kitchen, living room, hallway, and dining room. Then, we replaced the carpeting with laminate flooring. I have to admit, it was a rush to get it finished in time.
Good luck!

You make drop cloths and old shirts look good! A lot of people do that - keeps you from procrastinating!

I did hear you were doing some remodeling...Brad said he actually went to the house the other day.....so yeah call your daughter or something, cuz if I do recall I believe I tried the other day and no answer.

Focusing all of your attention on Duke would keep you from making messes like that in the first-place!!!

You'll feel great when it's all done! By the way, did you see that one of your cards was 'Highly Commended' in the Take A Quill Pill challenge?

But how wonderful will it be once it is all done! There's nothing like a fresh coat of paint to brighten things up. Have fun!

You gotta do things when the mood strikes you no matter what else is going on.
Hope your turkey is good even with all the home improvement going on. Have a great day.

Are you painting your kitchen? Ha, that is so funny - we painted ours a couple of days ago and everything was pushed into the living room also! I can relate :)

But, just think, ann...in just a short while you will have a beautifully painted room...and I'll still have five cans of unused paint sitting in my basement. Argh.

Sounds like your plate is a bit full right now - make sure to leave room for the turkey and stuff. I know that was pretty corny!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Ann!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Like a few of you said, when the mood strikes you gotta go with it. And now that the mood has passed, I'm forced to finish since I can't leave things the way they are...lol
Maybe by Christmas my house will be in some kind of order

I know I get a little crazy when it comes to cleaning for the holidays. I think they make us get thing done. So this is the perfect time to start a project.

b boys mom. I've gotten a little lax with the cleaning lately so this is a good motivator for me. I guess I've just had other things that seemed more important than cleaning lately
