I'm not heartless

No matter what some of the people at work say about me, I do have a heart. As a matter of fact I actually have several of them.
I have Loraine to thank for my abundance of hearts. She posted a tutorial for tiny crocheted hearts. She found the directions here and then shared them with all of her readers. When I saw them I really liked them so I dusted off my crochet hooks and dug out some yarn.

Mine aren't as tiny but I seemed to have a bit of difficulty trying to crochet with embroidery floss so I gave up and just went with yarn.
Then I found some crochet cotton and made a bunch more. Here is one on another of my Valentine treat boxes that I've been working on.
I have over a dozen hearts in various colors, and I'm still making more. I just can't stop. They are super easy and really quick to do.
I'm planning on picking up some pin backs and making some heart pins, and I may even make some of them into magnets.

That crocheted heart really spiced up that card. Wow, I love it. I can't crochet either. I tried a while back. I gave up. I just don't have a crafty bone in my body.

Have a terrific weekend. My best to Duke. :)

And such cute little hearts they are! :)

Those are cute! And your boxes are pretty. Good idea to make them into pins and magnets!

I had been thinking of magnets before you even said it, but pins would be even better!! People would really comment on them everywhere you went! They are just adorable! and I love the boxes!! Hmmm...perhaps put a couple hearts on Duke's collar for Valentine's Day!

They are adorable and I think I would use thinner yarn instead of floss...I don't like working with thread - it's too small for my eyes...

So, are you going to hand them out at work so they can see that you are not heartless? (I wonder how that rumor got started - are you a tough boss?)

I think you have a BIG heart! And now lots of sweet little yarn hearts. Thanks for the mention! I made a garland of hearts using a slightly different pattern than the little ones. The are made with yarn. I will post them for Mosaic Monday (Sunday evening)

They are adorable, I don't even try to crochet. My biggest sis does, she loves it. You did really good Annie.

What a cute idea. I think I'll look up the directions and make a few myself! Thanks.

Sandee I thought so too. I actually taught myself how to crochet after many many failed attempts. I can't do anything fancy but I know the basic stitches and can make a blanket :)

sharkbytes absolutely, I think the possibilities are endless

catherine aren't they though

reeni thanks, I thought the pins would make nice gifts for the girls at work

ginny I think I like the pin idea better than the magnet but I'm going to do both

doris same here with the eyes. yes I am going to give them out at work and yes I am a bit of a tough boss when the work isn't getting done right.

ldh aw thanks. and even more little hearts still to come. I can't wait to see your garland

helen thanks and you're welcome. Will we be seeing some cards with crochet hearts on them?
