If someone were to offer you a cake that had no fat or calories would you take it?
Well I mentioned yesterday that one of the girls at work is having a birthday this Saturday so I made her a cake. I left out all the fat and calories and decorated it with little pink roses since that's her favorite color. I even made a special box for her cake. She's turning all of 19 but I only have one candle on the cake.
I wonder if she'll share?
If you haven't seen these before, they are made using the battery operated tea lights. You just glue on the paper and decorate. I thought they were the cutest thing. Thanks to Ann Martin from All things paper I learned how to make the folded roses which are the perfect size to fit on these cakes.
So this was project #6 that I was talking about. Tonight I may be taking off from blog reading so that I can work on finishing the other thing I'm making for her. I'll catch up with all of you on the weekend.

That is so adorable! I love the idea of cake without fat and calories. Although that one is way too cute to eat anyway.

Okay, I guess I'll have to go along with the rest of the crowd on this one. For your little cup cake is adorable. However, Duke and I would rather have as much fat and sugar as we can get, and I am quite sure that Wade is with us.
What a gorgeous little cake - and you're making something else for her as well? Can't wait to see it ...
Meanwhile, thanks so much for recommending the Shadowhouse Creations blog - it's BRILLIANT!! I've learnt such a lot about Photoshop just by reading his tutorials, and have already downloaded some of his wonderful free textures, including the 'writing' one that you had used a few posts ago. I would never have found all this without you - thanks again!!
Great job as usual Ann. You just keep getting better and better. She is going to love it.
That is super-duper cute!
