Answer time

It has been so cold here today and I've been moving very slow since I got home from work.  The last time I looked the temperature was 12 degrees but felt like -2 with the wind chill factored in. BRRRR!!!!! We're expecting pretty much more of the same for the weekend so my thoughts for the next couple of days are HIBERNATION.
OK so yesterday I showed you this

There were some really great guesses and two of you even got it right. Some of you had commented on how clean it was. I could have told you that I took the picture AFTER I cleaned it up when I was done using it. It doesn't look that clean while I'm working with it.
Here's another shot of the same machine. This time it doesn't have the hopper in it.

The hopper holds the donut filling. There are 4 different hoppers, one for each type of filling (lemon, apple, strawberry and bavarian cream) See the two little spikes on the front of the hopper? You push the fried donuts on to those spikes then push the arm underneath to fill the donut. The keypad is to set how much filling you want to go into the donut.

If by any chance some of you think you see a coffee mug sitting in the picture you are completely mistaken. There are no drinks allowed in the area so there couldn't possibly be a cup of coffee sitting there on my table.

That is way too cold for me! And as for that contraption, I should have known that since I worked in a bakery once. It was just too dang clean! I always remember flour every where! :)

Oh my, that is way too cold for us. It is cold here too but not that cold.
Not fair, you cleaned it up. There should be all kinds of donut droppings for us to see. But I would have never guessed anyway. Great game.
Please stay warm this week end. Best to Duke.

Do we all get creme filled donuts for consolation prizes?

OMG, that is the BEST. MACHINE. EVER! I want one. Also, now I want a donut. Thanks a lot.

Today high was 66 degrees and the sun is shining. I didn't wear my jacket to take my walk today. It was beautiful outside, and warm for this time of year.

I knew I wouldn't guess what that was. Never saw one before. Glad someone else figured it out.

Have a terrific day. Stay warm this weekend. My best to the little man Duke. :)

I would be hitting the MAX button for the filling..:)

Hi Ann! Sorry it is so cold where you are. I won't mention what it is here in TX :) I'm glad I didn't see your post/pic yesterday because I would have NEVER guessed it correctly! ha ..

Have a great weekend and stay warm! I like your new header at the top, that cute Duke!!!

hugs xo

Yahoo!!! Does that mean we get free donuts???
For me, there's nothing that warms me up like a hot cupa coffee :-)
Stay warm and I hope you have a great weekend!!

I have been wondering about this all day!!!!!!!!! So what is it called, a donut filler? Never saw one before, never knew there was such a thing, so I have learned something and had fun doing it!!

Is it a coffee maker ?

Nessa said...

First thought that came to mind was a scale but then I was confused with the funnel thingy... now I know what it is. :)

I would love to work in a bakery... but oh the temptation!

Unknown said...

Yeah, I realize now that my answer about it being a bacon scale was really stupid. For who in their right-mind would want to waste time weighing bacon when it should be in the pan already?

I'd love to have a machine like this one at home, but, clumsy as I am, I don't think I would ever learn to use it well. Have a great weekend!

I'm not even going to check what I wrote for and answer and embarrass myself further...lets just go with no matter how evasive I was I was wrong..lol

By the way...I have ordered some of those Knifty knitters and now just have to wait for the postman.. :-)

I hate to tell you this but you are busted. That is definitely a coffee mug next to the filling machine.
Have a great weekend. It is 10 degrees over here. High is suppose to reach 21.

you work in a donut shop? how cool is that? you fill all that good creamy stuff inside? with this contraption? i have often wondered how that yummy stuff gets in there. i do NOT see a coffee mug, that is my story and i will stick by it. great post.

I would never have guessed!

cool machine. If I worked in a donut shop I would weigh 500 pounds and be in a diabetic coma. (I think I drooled a little just now).

Snuggle up with Duke and keep warm.

MMMMMMM make some for me, I always like filled the best.

Ann said...

beaded tail that's right you did say before that you worked in a bakery while you were in college.

catherine , yet another useless fact you'll never need to know...lol

marg believe me there were lots of donut droppings before I cleaned. I'm kind of a clean as I go kind of person when I'm at work. Wish I could do that at home too

Lin well certainly, I should have had them ready for you when you got here, how rude of me :)

Anne you would think that as long as I have worked there I would be sick of donuts, but nope, not one bit

Sandee I am so jealous :)

livintheblues and you would be getting a very full donut...lol

molly that's very nice of you not to mention your temps :)

tahtimbo well sure all you have to do is come pick them up...lol Hot coffee for me too

Ginny I don't know what the machine is actually called but donut filler is close enough for me.

aloud nope, not a coffee maker

Nessa tell me about it, I can't resist nibbling on a daily basis

fishhawk yes, you should have known. one never weighs bacon you just keep filling the pan until you can't fit any more

josep it's really very easy to use.

allotments4you oh cool you're getting a knifty knitter. You'll have to let me know how you like them

russ I think maybe you should put your glasses on and if you don't wear any maybe you should get some because you don't see a coffee cup there really you don't...lol

Sandra actually it's an in store bakery. My department is a bakery/deli so not only do I have all the yummy bakery stuff around me all day I have all the deli food too.

duni it is a rather odd looking contraption

Leeuna I'm surprised I don't weigh 500 pounds.

Ann oh I'm sure that sooner or later you may run in to a dull moment here...lol

out on the prairie coming right up, any particular flavor? or maybe just one of each?

Tammy said...

Of course that is what it is. I will know this now forever.
